Mamie's Drive Inn — Restaurant in Laurinburg

We stopped into Mamies drive inn for a burger whilst enroute to the airport and we met by one of the most wonderful, kind people I’ve ever met!

The owner of the most wonderful burger place on Earth, is delightful and kind lady called Sheila! She is an utterly amazing lady who showed us nothing but warmth, friendship and kindness! The burger was literally THE best burger I’ve ever had in my life, it was the double cheeseburger all in, is difficult to express how delicious it was but it covered every single base with 10 stars out of five! We had a fantastic chat and everyone was so kind and friendly, to the effect that Sheila very kindly gave us a T-shirt which I will wear with pride.

I would recommended Mamies Drive inn over any burger place I’ve ever been to in my life and all so recommend it for Michelin star for their services to burgers and the customer service which was absolutely excellent and second to none.

Thank you Sheila, thank you so much. You are an absolute beam of light and you make the world a lot better place. Take care and lots of love from the two British guys that randomly stopped in the best burger...

This is not a sit down table service restaurant but exactly what the name says. A drive in. There is a drive thru on the side of the building or you can park and go in for take out service. There is a type of lunch counter inside on the other side from where the order window is or you can sit outside on the picnic tables weather permitting

First time it was open when I was passing thru. I generally drive at night when they're closed so I was excited to finally check this place out.

Regular lunch counter menu Didn't see any desserts offered. Stopped and got the chicken nuggets combo (easy to eat while driving) and not wear anything. Nuggets are typical nuggets you find anywhere but good flavor as well as the fries. Drinks are can in a frig beside the window.

I did see they were closed on Tuesdays. Close at 4pm other days. Small business definitely worth...

This is a small local spot directly off the highway. There’s no other options around and that’s a good thing! This is old school style burger, fries, and Atmosphere, if you enjoy old school GOOD food with affordable prices, run to here! Sweet tea is exactly how your southern grandma would make it, 10/10. The chili has to be homemade due to the flavor, the cheese even tasted better than regular cheese. Burgers had fantastic flavor, you can taste good quality hamburger. We’ve passed by a hundred times not looking for food, today was beyond worth the chance. Will be our road trip stop from now on. Take the chance and go enjoy food that isn’t jacked up just...
