This is really a disappointment that I have to write this review. I called and placed an order for 2 extra extra spicy braised shrimp. I patronize this business a lot considering we reside on Old Snellville. When we got our food it was not how we ordered it. I called today 7/25/2024 to let the manager know he told me to bring the food back which we did. He then overtalks me and tells me he can only remake 1 not both my total was 34 bucks and the same dishes. He then tells me that I didn't order it right in which I did the child on the other end that took my order repeated extra extra spicy to me. Per the owner, she didn't charge me for it. Not my problem, I placed it how we eat it. He would not allow me to get a word in. I am very very disappointed. We will not be back here and beware if you order your food Right and it is wrong it's not the kid who answers FAULT IT IS YOURS!! I will be disputing this as he did not want to fix my...
Read moreNot good, yuck!! I should have known when I visited at lunchtime and the place was empty and I did not hear any cooking noise from the back from called in orders. Only people I saw was the cashier and a toddler looking at a tablet. Ordered the shrimp lo mein lunch special and asked to get pork fried rice. Was told there would be extra charge. I got the egg roll also. The total for that was over $12 bucks!! Got my food at it was the smallest lunch portion I ever seen. The rice was dark brown and very greasy. It had a weird taste. The shrimp were tiny and they use noodles that are very thick…I mean really really thick! It tasted bland. The egg roll was very skinny and not tasty. I didn’t eat none of this and just threw away. Didn’t want to risk getting sick before the Super Bowl. Total waste of $12 bucks.
Unsure what these previous reviewers were eating because this spot isn’t it. Won’t...
Read moreI’m from St. Louis and recently moved to Georgia so I thought I’d give Taste 8 a try since I heard the owner was from my hometown. Well to start the customer service was good, food was hot and fresh but that’s about it. This is not the taste I was looking for. I’m use to dark, greasy rice with flavor and this rice didn’t have any of that. The owner stated they were located in south St. Louis before they came to Georgia which pretty much explains a lot. Rice on the south side of St. Louis don’t have that hood chinamen (what we call it) taste. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t bad but I rather drive back home every few months and get the real deal. If your from St. Louis then you know exactly what I mean. 3 stars for the effort and cleanliness. This may be good for the Georgians considering a lot of the food don’t have flavor here but it’s...
