This is a small restaurant located along OK-58. Our visit was due to being taken there by our Aunt and Uncle for dinner. We were very happy with most of the meals that were served with the exception of the brown gravy being very salty. Our party placed orders for the following: Buffalo Burger with potato wedges, hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and fried okra, catfish sandwich with fries and fried okra, chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, beans and salad, and the calf fries with okra, beans, tater tots and salad. I personally had the Buffalo burger and enjoyed it greatly. It was cooked well, the toppings were fresh as well as the roll being fresh and soft. The potato wedges were exceptional, crispy outside and soft inside with great taste! Portions were large and well worth the cost. All pricing was very fair and the staff was efficient, friendly and had a great attitude for what they were doing! Our waitress was on the ball with keeping drinks full and always had a smile on her face with customers! I would highly recommend this place when in the area! It seems this place is busy for the area, including people around the lake. We had to wait a about a minute to get a table cleaned off, no biggie. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders. Few minutes later we placed our food orders. Our waitress never came back to refill our drinks, had to get up and let her know, also about my salad which never came. Our food came within reasonable time, it was hot, but wasn’t too good. Wife had the Indian taco which wasn’t good, but okay. Me and my friend had the hamburger steak with grilled onions and brown gravy, it was okay, gravy was good, mashed potatoes tasted instant, green beans was old style thick. My friends Mac & cheese was awful, he didn’t eat it. His wife had a hamburger patty it was cooked to her liking, again slow service, especially for a small diner. I would only eat here if in the area and hungry.

This place is the real deal. Was recommended by a friend, had no idea it existed. It has recently been completely rebuilt in a new building just next door to the old one, so a lot of the pictures on here of an old/run down establishment--that's not it anymore! My burger was very good, very homemade, good beef. My girlfriend really loved her Indian taco. Service was great. Cheesecake was excellent! Again, everything felt genuinely homemade, real/quality ingredients. This is the kind of place you can hunt a lifetime for these days, getting rarer and rarer. Very clearly a locals favorite. Seemed popular, but not so popular/touristy as the Meers establishment down the road. We liked this place much better than there. Very happy we found it!

Alright. I understand when a business is understaffed, and looking for help in today's world can be a daunting task. We sat down with our family of six to enjoy a much needed reunion. We all ordered a traditional breakfast. Four orders of french toast with bacon/sausage, eggs and crispy hashbrowns. We also had two orders of pancakes with eggs, and bacon. Service was decent, and I had decent hope for the place. Our family local here has been here several times and loved it, they're regulars.

Then it fell apart. Every single item of our entrees came out cold. The butter on the french toast would not melt, nor the pancakes which were, at best, lukewarm. We informed our waitress thinking that this could be remedied. Microwave the french toast/pancakes, and remake the proteins. This wasn't an option. The waitress said she could microwave it all but could not have anything remade. Thus, she storms off. We are then greeted by a lady wearing an apron who presented herself in the manner of an owner/manager/cook. She said the food came straight off the grill and to our table, and provided no further options. When we expressed our concerns, she simply told us they could not remake the food and left without another word. We were deciding to pay half of the bill for those who ate their cold food, and not the other half. After several minutes, our grandfather got up to ask what was going on... apparently they voided the check, and were just going to ignore us the entire time.

We left a $20 tip, despite the way this was handled. It was incredibly disappointing.

I won't return, and wouldn't recommend...

Update: ⚠️FAMILIES BEWARE⚠️ After spending hundreds of dollars over the passed couple months at what we thought was our new favorite spot, our family of 6 will not be returning. After a day of hiking several miles with our teen and 3 kids under 10 years old, we decided to eat at Ann's. Despite the pickle o's being so spicy my Littles could not eat them and them not having enough food to fill all my kids orders, we had a great experience and enjoyed our food. This all came to an end when I was handed the bill and was told I didn't need to worry about tipping because she added 20% gratuity. I will admit I was a bit shocked by adding the group gratuity, because as a server when I was younger, I always waived it for families and applied it when it was multiple checks/parties. However, it was the implying I was not willing and/or capable of tipping that upset me. My husband on the other had was thrilled she did not want the 25-30% I like to leave.

I am leaving the 5 stars from the previous review, because I don't think a rude mistake should take away from the restaurant. But, I will choose one of the many options in Medicine Park from now on.

The food was so good! I definitely recommend the old fashioned hamburger. My teen son got the large, and it was huge! So much flavor! And the staff was super nice....

I had heard such great things about Ann's Country Kitchen, but our experience tonight was not great at all. The steak fingers I had were tasty, but they came out only warm, not hot, and the mashed potatoes were cold like they had been sitting out for a while, and the gravy was barely warm. The Indian taco fry bread wasn't fully cooked and the meat on it was like a less flavorful taco bell meat. It was also just barely warm. The salsa tasted like ketchup with a few seasoning. The fries, mac and cheese, and corn dog my kids had were also barely warm. Our lemonades were watered down, the cheesecake had a funny after taste, and the coconut cream pie didnt have hardly any coconut flavor to it. We aren't picky eaters, and we were starving, so we ate it, but a waitress never came by again to ask us how we were, how the food was, or to refill our drinks. When we went up to pay and ask for pie they seemed annoyed by us, and when we found out they had sold our original pieces of pie to others, they seemed even more annoyed that we were taking a bit to decide on other flavors.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because it was a clean dining area, and we had had their pies before and they were tasty then, unlike tonight.

We will not be returning and we will not be...
