I rarely post reviews for fast food purchases, but due to amazing customer service I felt a strong desire to send my thanks to the gentleman (possibly a manager) at Arctic Circle today in Layton on Fairfield road.
Quick backstory - today my seven year old son worked really hard to earn money to purchase his own custom Lego figurine. My five-year-old daughter told me she would prefer an ice cream cone with the money she earned. While getting the LEGO figurine my daughter (like all us normal crazy Lego lovers ;) wanted one too. Without prompting, my son told me he would purchase one for my daughter so she could still get her ice cream cone.
In this theme of paying it forward in our family we had going today, I was so grateful for the blessing of an amazing experience of getting offered two cute little (perfect portion size for us!) curtesy cones for both my children while going through the drive through.
As a mother who wants my children to know that working hard can get us nice things (as parents we have been saving a lot to purchase a new home with a yard for our kids) I was pleasantly surprised at the good there is out in the world today.
Sure it was less than $5 saved but the act alone for me was priceless.
I’m pinching penny’s everywhere I can to make this house goal happen for us. I personally don’t get on social media anymore because of all the negativity and emotional drain that I experience from it. But I felt compelled to share my story online today to remind the world there is still so much good in it - we just have to make a conscious effort to look for it.
Thank you sweet gentleman at Arctic Circle for blessing me and my children’s lives today. I’m more grateful than you...
Read moreWell it was interesting, and disappointing. Don't go there often, because it's not a go to and someone in the family doesn't like Artic Circle in general. We got there. Someone was starting to take our order. Told us they were out of the halibut and fries. Then out of no where someone else was taking our order. Always ordered the bounty burger there. Apparently these employees never heard of it, and is now just a standard double cheese burger. We were at the window waiting for a while. Only gave us one drink out of 4. Someone comes by gives us 2 bags and asked us if that was everything? I remind them about the other drink and shakes. Believing we should have everything now after getting the shakes and drink. We went home. We gave everyone their order and realized we were missing two items. I called and asked for a refund. They said sure, but it can only be in cash. The restaurant was about to close. I was comfortable and enjoying dinner with my family. I wasn't going to drive 15 minutes back up there and back home. If I was just going back to the restaurant I would have just picked up the missing food and not the refund. Other restaurants have the ability to look up the past order, confirm the customer and card, and refund the card. I've had it happened before for being double charged, or missing items. Why this place can't is beyond me. No explanation why they couldn't just...
Read moreI used to visit this restaurant on occasions as a child, but upon reflection, I've noticed that the overall experience may not be as pleasant as I remembered. While the food may have it's strengths, There are areas that seem lackluster. The playset looks like it was bought from a hardware store, And some of the interior elements could use updating. The branding, menu, and overall ambiance could benefit from a fresh touch to truly capture the essence of the Arctic Circle. I understand that running a restaurant is challenging, but I sincerely hope that the owners consider investing in improvements to create a more enjoyable experience for their customers and employees. I feel somewhat disappointed seeing a restaurant with so much potential, and I believe that with some thoughtful changes, it could become a more inviting destination. As someone who used to frequent this establishment, I hope that my feedback is taken into consideration by the management. I wish the best for this restaurant and hope to see it thrive. Thank you for...
