Lapp Valley Farm Creamery & Cafe — Restaurant in Leacock Township

Hopefully the owners take the time to read these reviews & are open to constructive criticism.Staff needs additional training! Opening day I got a breakfast bowl & was really impressed! A week later I was going past & decided to grab a "bowl" to go. When it was ready, they gave it to me as an "eat in". Not a big problem, they put the bowl in a take out container. When I got home & started to eat it, could not cut thru a slice of bacon. Discovered a paper napkin in the middle of it! Took it back for them to see so that they could see that additional training needed to be done. They were brand new, so understandable. Took a family there for lunch today & decided to grab some fried cheese curds to go. When it was ready I had to once again remind that order was "to go". Since no one had offered a dipping sauce I had to ask about that as well, then had to wait for someone to wait on me so I could pay for that. Would have to think twice before...

The ice cream is good but the cafe was so so. The menu is kind of small, so not much variety to choose from. I got the fried cheese curds and some fried chicken. The curds were really greasy and salty and the chicken was bland. The service also was less than spectacular. When you order, they give you this buzzard thing that goes off when your food is ready. I would've preferred an actual waiter only because at busy times, you'll end up with a huge crowd of people who are all standing around waiting for their food and cooking for a living, I know that that's not feasible. You'll end up with more orders coming in than what you are capable of being able to put out. And when you're taking in more orders than what you can put out, you get backed up and you end up with...

I made an order of chicken sandwich without bacon, and I said to the cashier to make sure without bacon but when I received the order it was totally the opposite I took a bite of the sandwich but my wife told to stop because the sandwich has bacon. I was so mad when I checked the sandwich. I don't know if it was unprofessional from them or they did it in purpose, because I did repeated 2 times ...( make sure without bacon, please no bacon on it), but I guess nobody heard me. No manager present at the incident and only some Amish dressed girls going around. It was a very bad situation and bad experience for me...
