A Feast of Flavors: A Review of Iron Horse
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Iron Horse, and I must say, it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, setting the stage for what turned out to be a culinary adventure.
Let's start with the star of the show: the food. I opted for the club sandwich and the sampler platter, and both exceeded my expectations. The club sandwich was a symphony of flavors, with layers of perfectly cooked bacon, tender turkey, fresh lettuce, juicy tomato, and creamy mayo, all sandwiched between slices of toasted artisan bread. Each bite was a delight, showcasing the quality ingredients and expert craftsmanship.
Now, onto the sampler platter, a true masterpiece. It was like a journey through culinary bliss, with a selection of tantalizing bites that left me wanting more. From crispy chicken tenders to savory mozzarella sticks, each item was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. It was the perfect way to sample a variety of dishes and discover new favorites.
But it wasn't just the food that impressed meâit was the impeccable service as well. From the moment I was seated, my server was attentive and friendly, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, enhancing my meal even further.
In addition to the outstanding food and service, the atmosphere at Iron Horse was warm and inviting. Whether you're dining solo or with a group of friends, it's the perfect spot to relax and indulge in delicious food.
Overall, my experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the mouthwatering club sandwich to the delightful sampler platter, every dish was a culinary masterpiece. Add in the top-notch service and inviting atmosphere, and you have a recipe for dining perfection. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, look no further than Iron Horse. Highly...
Read moreMy Son and I tried this place for the first time around 5pm yesterday. First impression from my son was mom its in a strip mall this is going to be bad. Upon entering we asked for a low down table as I'm disabled and have back issues. The hostess asked if we had a reservation I replied no. The hostess seemed annoyed. She wasn't friendly and she just had this pissed off look on her face. The place was packed and extreamly loud. We were sat by the back door. Our waitress was very friendly and took good care of us. We started out with the friend pickle appetizer. That was excellent. Crispy coating of panko bread crumbs and a tender pickle inside. The sauce was delicious. Then we ordered our meals. He ordered Chicken friend chicken with augratin potatoes and carrots. His meal arrived with mashed potatoes only. He told the waitress he ordered augratin potatoes and carrots. They brought those out later. His carrots weren't quite done so he didn't eat them. He loved his potatoes they were delicious. His chicken fried chicken was tender but gravy tasted like grease. I ordered the brisket platter with augratin potatoes and carrots. My plate came with no extra sauce so I asked for some. My brisket was tender but lacked flavor. Zero BBQ flavor or smoke. I disliked the BBQ sauce. The augratin potatoes were very good and my carrots were tender unlike my son's.The side of carrots is very small. I know they are whole carrots but I wanted a few more. We would return to try other items. The brisket was not something I would ever order again the waitress gave us a coupon for buy one get one free appetizer on our next visit. About half way through the band started arriving through the door we were sitting near thank goodness it was decent outside. It's so loud you can't talk at all. I can't imagine live music in there so we didn't stay due to the extreme...
Read moreWe selected this location because its plated service offered vs buffet style for brunch, only in the weekends. The space is pretty large and there's a patio. The table we sat at was not far from the door out to the patio. That busy in and out was kind of a nuisance. Our table was also right in front of the hallway to two restrooms, again a lot of traffic.
The ambiance fits a western style bar & grill in addition the entire complex is called Iron Horse. There's also plenty of TVs throughout the inside dining area.
I will say from our entrees to those of nearby tables we saw.. the food is supersized as is the portions! You get A LOT! Alex was our server and he was very personable and followed up when we asked for any additional dining items. We ordered French toast, bacon and potatoes with tea. It was surprising that the tea was brought out with the tea already in the teacup with no spoon or sweetener of any kind. My mom had to ask. She liked the FT but said they weren't anything special.
I ordered the Chicken & Waffles. The housemade chicken breast were a nice size. You receive three plates with waffle corners. The chicken was seasoned very well and the waffles had a flavor waffle cones you get with ice cream. The potatoes were the only disappointment; although they were house made, there's no kind of flavor, just fried up potatoes. I also had the $2 mimosa, strawberry flavored. The champagne used has a very tart flavor so I didn't like...
