Baxters Coffee and Donuts Lees Summit store 118 — Restaurant in Lee's Summit

Had not been at Baxter's Donuts in awhile. Had great experiences in the past. Not this time. Walked in to place my order and was barked at. HOW MANY? Told her I wanted a cherry streudel and when she realized I just wanted one, she slamned the box away, got a bag, rushed to the register and then looked at me from a distance staring at me, like I am waiting for you. I told her what else I wanted, a breakfast sandwhich and OJ. No thank you, nothing. Just told me what I needed to pay and walked away to the next person she could be rude to. It got even better after that. Later, I ordered a large coffe, got a medium instead. When I asked the lady if it was a large, she said no. I was telling her I wanted a large and she just walked away as I stood there, her ignoring myself. Theses people need to slow down, be polite, and not rush to the next, customer, like they are trying to shove any order at you and quickly rush to shove the next order at someone. Sad to say, LAST UPDATE

Not because they did anything wrong. We have sadly moved away. We went there so much with our two kiddos they knew us by sight and order. An M&M raised, glazed twist, powdered sugar bavarian, and an old fashioned were our absolute favorites.

Thank you to all the wonderful employees who we were genuinely happy to see and talk with. All of you were amazing. When my kiddos wanted donuts, it was in large part because they wanted us to go in to see all of you. Thank you for allowing them to build confidence in ordering and asking you for help. Thank you for your smiles and your kind words.

The donuts are top-notch, but it was the employees that made us continue to go back. We could never leave without a smile on our faces.

This was my second visit to this store. My first visit was ok. Nothing to write home about. Amazing donuts and selection! The staff was so/so. Today I was assisted by Tyler. Tyler was not a very pleasant person and has some very snotty remarks that he makes to his customers. My youngest daughter wanted a caramel cream filled long john. Tyler told me they only had maple. She’s young enough that her tastebuds don’t care. So, I told her that it was kind of the same to which Tyler very snarkily said, “It’s not the same in the slightest.” My other daughter asked for a cake donut and he looked at her like she was stupid and said, “cake donut??? You mean old fashion?” Really??? Who doesn’t know what a cake donut is? Obviously this man woke up on the wrong side of the bed but no need to be hateful to children.
