Boba Bar — Restaurant in Lee's Summit

We love this place!!!! I have ordered Boba bar on DoorDash 3 times! The first time seemed to be around the time they first opened. We didn't like the drinks we ordered so thought we may never try them again. However… This past Friday we decided to give them another try, and so GLAD we did! We ordered the following HONEYDEW MILK BOBA (if you love honeydew, you must try this with honey boba) MANGO MILK BOBA BOBA BAR COFFEE I made a note on the order letting them know of the prior experience, and they included a free drink and a hand written note responding to my order note! How kind of them! I did not expect this at all and am extremely pleased with their service. TWO DAYS LATER, my family was craving boba so we just HAD to DoorDash boba bar again. Ordered the same drinks, all were amazing. I made a note to let them know that the drinks were soooo good from our Friday order, and we just had to order more. They included another free drink for us to try. I don’t know what it was, but it tasted like a passion fruit lemonade & had fruit jellies. My 10 year old thoroughly enjoyed it!

Firstly, the indoor vibes were great, it was nice to see another boba shop closer to me with such a cute atmosphere. Im personally not a fan of contactless ordering, in this case especially where I'm unable to mix my drink with another flavor of my choosing, I feel like as a "boba bar" that's the bare minimum. When I asked if that was even an option I was met with a slightly passive aggressive "no". I ordered matcha boba with extra tapioca pearls; the portions for the boba were small for extra. The matcha was extremely gross because you guys don't sift the matcha, leaving clumps in the drink that aren't pleasant, I asked for a remake and it was still clumpy! I then asked for a refund and went on with my day.

I wanted to love it but I don't think I'll be returning. Especially when your register person isn't the most customer service friendly, smiles and not looking at me like a dummy are important for...

Decided to check this place out despite the cost of drinks, which we were aware of before heading in. It’s 6-8$ a drink, which I then delightfully learned is essentially 95% milk (if you only include liquid content) and had very little flavor. I couldn’t finish my drink, unfortunately, although that may be on me. It was the same for my mother, who got a different drink from me.

This place isn’t noise sensitive friendly (in fact it may even bother those who are not noise sensitive). Although I usually have no problem with music being played in a shop, this TINY place (max occupancy 10 people) had a GIANT TV in the corner that was blasting music. Advertisements were even louder. The remote was being controlled by a child, so I didn’t ask to turn it down as I felt uncomfortable with the situation (and wasn’t sure if it was appropriate to ask).
