Pretty awesome for a first time. Not quite a 5 but I am still very impressed for run of the mill Chinese. On a whim I ordered their food for lunch. Small fried rice, Crab Rangoon (6 count), and Shrimp Mei Fun with spices added to be like their Singapore noodles. Which by the way they actually followed all my directions for the food. Which never really happens for me, especially when it comes to making stuff spicy. Granted it wasn't super spicy, which I'd kind of hoped for, but they added the spicy oil I had asked for as well so I can adjust as necessary. I really liked everything. Portions are awesome, I have enough for dinner and lunch tomorrow probably (I eat like a bird). Poor delivery guy texted and called because he couldn't find my job, which I couldn't either when I first came here too. I feel bad, as he was kind of aimlessly driving as I poorly tried to direct him. He apologized for inconveniencing me, but he didn't have to at all because my bad directions got him confused.
Overall, really nice experience. I will definitely order again. I think the only issue I had was some of the food had a weird taste to it, but it really had to do with the gas stove it was cooked on. There were parts of the onions that I really enjoyed how they were cooked (browned, caramelized almost) and they had it the strongest. I still ate them because it did overall have a pretty good flavor. Thanks for the good food and super early delivery too. I will order...
Read moreMy go-to for Chinese food. I don't think I've ordered a thing I haven't liked. I'm from the East Coast and this place reminds me of the hole in the wall Chinese places I grew up with, in a very good way. The food here is the closest to New York style Chinese food I've found since moving to the Midwest. Their Chow Mei Fun is very good, and very garlicky (which I like). I also really like their Vegetable Lo Mein, Buddhist Delight and Crab Rangoon. Their soups are also quite good, particularly the seafood soup.
Prices are pretty standard and they have a large menu. They also give lots of free items when you order over a certain amount. I'm always finding free Rangoons in my order. Almost everything comes with your choice of fried or white rice included in the price, but it can be upgraded to many other side dish choices for $1-2 more.
The only downside is they're quite busy and delivery can sometimes take 45 minutes to an hour, or more. Ordering on popular nights like Fridays and Saturdays will almost always come with an hour wait time for delivery. This is easily solved if you're willing to...
Read moreOrder: General chicken, cashew chicken, triple delight, kung pow chicken, sides of egg drop soup and crab ragoons.
Pros: Food delivered quite hot. The plastic forks were neatly packaged with soy and duck sauce, encompassed in a napkin. Fairly quick delivery The pre-made fortune cookies tasted as expected
Cons: All of the dishes tasted pretty much the same. All beading was soggy. The fried rice tasted like it was cooked in a burned teflon pan, rendering it inedible. Cashew chicken and kung pow chicken were deep fried, which was unexpected since it is not typical for the dishes.
Overall:
I would not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends and I would not personally eat here again. This is the type of Chinese food restaurant that I would expect to find in a shady area of a college town, except the prices you usually find in a place like that are...
