My wife and I went to have a simple date night dinner after working out, and we both were craving Chipotle. So when we arrived, the line was almost to the door but was moving extremely slow. Slow enough a few people in front of us left right after we got in line. You would think that sped up the wait for us, but it didn't.
We struck up some conversation with others in line to kill the time, but even they were getting tired of the wait. We looked to find a place to sit before we even ordered, and every table and counter space were covered in food and mess. Some were much worse than others. Even a few tables with spilled drinks all over the floor and the lids left behind in the fluids.
When we finally made it to the counter, it took at least 15 minutes from the time we started ordering to the time we finally reached the register to pay. While ordering, we had to almost yell our orders because nobody could seem to hear us. We kept having to ask for more portions because of how small every scoop they gave us was. Even when we were pointing at what we wanted while describing it, they still would ask if it was what we wanted.
When finally getting to the register, we kept having to tell the woman checking us out that all we had were 2 bowls and a side tortilla. She kept asking if that was everything to the point that I politely grabbed everything and put it in a small pile and said that the 2 bowls and 1 tortilla were the only 3 items we had. They also told us they were out of chips after asking if we wanted any. They then gave online order chips, but not us.
When we finally got to take our food we opened the bag and realized that after explaining that we only had 2 bowls and 1 tortilla at least 3 times, the employee at the register still have us someone else's online order and charged us for it as well as their extra tortilla. So I have to go back up to the register with someone else's food only to then have the employee who messed it up to start arguing with me after all I had done was be polite.
The online order showed up for their food only to find me holding it, and they still gave that person the same food they had given me! Who does that? They have no idea what I could've done with that food after they gave me it. They didn't even remake it for the poor guy!
Overall, my wife, who is truly the easiest going woman I know, was disappointed and a little upset with the whole experience. She immediately said after seeing how the woman at the register treated me that we would not be returning to this location. If the lack of cleanliness wasn't enough of a reason, the disrespectful service absolutely made it so.
Yorleny is the name on our refund receipt, and I'm not sure if that was the short Hispanic woman that was so rude, but that's all I have to go off of on my refund receipt. She never gave me the original receipt. But she is the sole reason we won't be returning. Management needs to step in and take a deeper look at its employees. I was treated so badly I didn't even go back to try to return the other tortilla that were found after the who ordeal with the first refund. That I was also charged for and didn't ask for.
I understand having a bad day at work, having worked in sales and dealing with people all day for the last 6 years, but this was uncalled for. I'm very disappointed. I would be written up at a minimum or even fired from my job if I had done what this employee did to me at my place of work.
The "As real as it gets" on the receipt should say, "As disappointing...
Read moreWent into this location about two weeks ago after placing an online order for pick up. I went in a few minutes before my pick up was ready. They hadn’t even made the order by the time the app told me my food was ready! The person at the register apologize and said that they were really short staffed nonetheless, I was annoyed but just took it for what it was. I get handed my first order. I just happened to check it because I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be right. I checked the food. They didn’t even put any meat on my keto bowl. I notified the cashier of the discrepancy she apologized. Said it would just be a few minutes to the food back a few minutes later I was handing back my food. I checked it again. They still had no meat on it at by this time I got handed my second order-a quesadilla with sides. I checked the quesadilla and it was missing two side items. I notified the cashier again about the discrepancy with both my orders. She apologized again and kept saying they were shortstaffed. I was clearly frustrated and I said I understand that you’re short staffed but just get my order right. I literally had to hand them back my food two or three times because they were missing items. People in line saw this debacle and half of them walked out after they had been waiting in line and recognizing that this was unacceptable. I was very tempted to just ask for my money back but nowadays you have to contact Customer service for a refund and I didn’t want to go through any more hassle than I already dealt with so I figured writing a review would do more justice.
This has happened several times at this location where the app says the order is ready and I go in and they hadn’t even started the order so it takes a total of 20 to 30 minutes to get the food from when you place the order on the app. This is absolutely unacceptable so far the only location that hasn’t failed me in my area is the drive-through on Ward and third Street, so I’ll be going there...
Read moreI go to this chipotle essentially everyday to get a single chicken taco with a side of sour cream. Been doing this for months. Today, the “manager” decides that I can have a measly 1/3 of a cup of sour cream. With a smile, I nicely ask whoever was making my taco if I could have a little more sour cream because it is my favorite part. The “manager” said (I’m paraphrasing), “You only got one taco so that is all you get or it’s extra”. I respond something like “I know that is true for guac, but extra sour cream is always free for all items, even single tacos. It says so on the website and on the chipotle app. I come everyday and have always gotten a full cup.”
And hey- if we want to get technical: What I ordered is 1/3 of the taco meal, and I want extra sour cream- then at least give me 2/3 of the cup of sour cream because that’s double the amount. It’s equivalent to getting two full cups of sour cream for 3 tacos at no charge, which is what chipotle provides when you ask for extra sour cream when you order 3 tacos. Anyway, she basically told me no and that she didn’t have time for this and she didn’t know… whatever. Real rude.
This whole thing was so embarassing and defeating. I’ve had a horrible day and all I wanted was my sour cream and favorite dinner. I was legitimately lied to and stolen from. This is the chipotle closest to my house and now I feel stupid and sad. I’m just disappointed.
I’m going to experiment and order online at another chipotle and ask for a single taco with extra sour cream and see if they give me two full cups. Because I’ve always gotten a full cup of sour cream with my one taco and I order at many chipotles. This whole thing was weird and I feel gaslit by her not being able to rationalize that it made no sense.
Also, I LOVE the staff at this location! They are always so nice and hard working. I don’t understand what happened with this employee this evening. I hope that they can learn from this situation. I...
