I just wanted to provide my feedback on the experience I received at custards Last Stand at the Lee's Summit location today. I had my service dog with me and went to sit down and the manager proceeded to tell me that I was not allowed to be in there with my pet. I told her my dog was a service dog and she continued to tell me that I needed to leave. I then told her that I'm not leaving because this is a service dog and she walked away. I found out after the conversation that she was in fact the manager when I decided to ask for a manager. I did tell her that she needed to get some education on service dogs and what she is allowed to ask me. She was overly rude and did not want to give me the time of day. On the other hand, the girl at the front who is training the new guy was so super sweet and nice and she honestly needs the manager position because she was great. I would hate to see you guys get sued over a service dog. I would never sue you over it but your employees need to be aware of the laws that go on around us before they go telling customers to leave. There are also no signs on the door saying anything about pets or service dogs. I was just surprised and disappointed that I bought ice cream and then was treated like that after....
Read moreWe've always loved Custards. I've grown up with them as a family favorite go to for dessert. I now have an entirely new appreciation for not only their amazing frozen custard and pop corn, but also their precious staff. Just tonight we went for a visit after dinner. Our little one was SO excited! It was his first trip. As we walked in my husband and I both looked at each other at the same time, yikes "what should we order." Both with a look of concern because of our little's strong tree nut and peanut allergy. He was SO looking forward to "ice cream" as his "I finished dinner" dessert. We proceeded to order (fruit filled custard) and then mentioned the allergy to the young lady. She then promptly started washing the utensils she was going to scoop/mix our custard with. It was a few extra steps and we waited just a second longer to be served, but SO thoughtful on their part. They were swamped with customers (as usual on a warm evening). We are forever grateful for their attention to detail and the health of our little man! Thank you for going above and...
Read moreMy husband and I wanted some frozen custard on this extremely hot day and Andy’s line was too long, so we decided to give Custard’s Last Stand a try. We have lived in Lee’s Summit for about four years now and never tried it. But wow- we regret it! Rarely do I finish my custard or ice cream- but I finished my mini Cookie Monster custard before we even got home. The hot dogs we ordered were delicious, but my only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the toppings on my New York dog were just a little too heavy for my preference. But everything else we had, the fries, the custard, the popcorn- delicious! Will definitely be going here instead of the other ice cream/custard places in town. Also- very friendly...
