Best coffee shop in Downtown Lee’s Summit by a mile. Great location, gorgeous view, and easy parking! Atmosphere is amazing, staff is extremely fast and friendly, and the clientele had a lot of people i knew so it the soul enriching experience I didn’t know i needed. When I couldn’t decide on what to order Abbey surprised me with “the summit” bagel oooohhhh myyyyy gaaaaahhhhhhhhssssshhhhhhh the world stopped spinning when i took that first bite. Bruh I added alittle honey to it… dude. Dude. STOP. Then by the time i found my wife at the table Taylor already made my weird coffee order exactly the way i asked, i still think about the way that mocha made me feel inside to this day. Read moreI came here this morning with my wife and two kids. The place was surprisingly full for a random weekday morning. Lots of laptops (hooray covid?) The menus are small and force you to crowd around with others who want to see them.
I was pleasantly surprised to see spring specials and unpleasantly surprised to see that they glaze their scones like donuts.
My wife and I ordered vanilla lattes and sat for a few minutes to wait for them. The chairs are uncomfortable, though the decor is otherwise quite pleasant, including the soft music and fresh flowers.
Our Lattes came with whipped cream to dull the heat, but the milk was only lukewarm (maybe 130-140°), so they needn't have bothered. They tasted good, but I definitely prefer overly hot drinks to overly cool ones.
It's better than Starbucks and Caribou and Baxter's, and they didn't mess up my drink like Whistle Stop and Post. Scooters is more convenient and Ahadu is better coffee with fewer food options. Come to Frost for a pretty atmosphere, decent food and drinks, and their (free for an hour) private...

And when I went up there the lady that had been eating and on her phone made it seem like it was inconvenience for me asking her if it was my food. This is not the first time this has happened either.
If eating food behind the counter, being on your phone when food is still on the bar, being rude when someone asks a question, and or as a guest you can see the worker has been inconvenienced doesn't change I'm not sure if I will be...
