Houlihan's — Restaurant in Lee's Summit

We came there for happy hour to meet up with family. I suggested Houlihan’s because I live in California now and there’s no Houlihan’s there. I missed the food that Houlihan’s offers. Houlihan’s was my go to place when I lived in the area. On this day the service wasn’t great we had a waitress who didn’t know how to handle a group of 8 of us. My sister ask for something with house sauce the waitress said that we don’t serve hummus and she had a attitude and she picked on my sister the whole time. My sister was the only one who food was served last. My sister order chips salsa, fries, happy hour big burger, lemon pepper wings and a ceaser salad to go. I had order the Shroom, egg rolls and four Thai wings, big burger and two salads. I never experienced such rudeness or bad service until this day. One end of the table was treated better than the other end of the table. My sister was in tears on how bad the service was towards her. Now, I know that chips and salsa/dips should be served first until the main courses are ready to be served. As stated my sister did not receive nothing that she ordered food was coming out for everyone else except her and we was wondering why so we ask and the waitress said I put your salad in as the main course when my sister stated that it was to go when she first ordered it. My sister informed her should I at least get my chips and salsa I’m hungry and I’m pregnant since everyone else had gotten their chips and dip. The waitress brought my sister chips and salsa and throw the plates on the table it had gotten so bad to where the waitress tried to snatch my sister money from her when she wasn’t ready to pay yet. We had ask for a manager within the first 10 minutes but the manager never came. One of my sisters had to call the manager on the phone in order for him to come and talk with us. Two of my other sisters food was cold when arrived at the table. My other sister scallops wasn’t right. I got my Shrooms late after they had already served one of our family members hers. I don’t like writing reviews but I had to because of the service that we received. Houlihan’s was one of my favorite restaurants that I go to when I visit back home but I don’t know if I’ll be back due to the treatment. After one of the ladies talk with the manager for a long time we got our money back. I was charged twice on my card but the manager took care of it after I showed him on my app that I had been...

Update: Due to my horrible experience at Houlihan's (Leawood Location - see separate review) I'd decided I was done with them as a whole. Well as the universe would have it my nephew texted and invited me to lunch and guess where he wanted to go? Of course Houlihan's but the Lee's Summit Location. That is the only reason I agreed.

We were greeted by the hosting staff and seated where we wanted promptly. Amanda came over and introduced herself as our server with a great smile and personality.

My nephew ordered chicken and avocado egg rolls and I ordered the Shrimp and Crab dip. OMG both were fabulous!!!! Highly recommend the Shrimp and Crab dip - PLEASE KEEP IT ON THE MENU!!!

For lunch he got Chicken Picatta and I got Fish and Chips. Both dishes were as equally amazing as the appetizers. The service was so great that Amanda and the rest of the staff restored my trust in the Houlihan's brand. Victoria the manager graciously took the time to come over and hear about my experience which was great and she thanked us for coming in and allowing them to serve us.

Outstanding experience all the way around!!! I'll now go back to Houlihan's but not the Leawood location. Definitely would return to this location.

Original Review: Ordered take-out from this location and the process was seamless. My husband ordered the Sedona Pasta add Shrimp 🍤 and I had Thai Wings with a side Garden Salad 🥗.

When we arrived our order was brought out promptly with great customer service. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Upon arrival at home 🏡 the order was accurate, fresh and hot. The taste was delicious and we felt we got a good value for our money.

We'll definitely return again. Check them out.

P.S. To Houlihans: You didn't bring back the Chicken Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Green Beans. I'm so disappointed because that dish is the BOMB 💣! PLEASE BRING...

Haven't been to Houlihan's since the Plaza but always pass by this one and said that we would put it on our list of places to check out...well today was that day for moms and I to check it out,started out waiting on a table but there was no wait in the restaurant...then we ordered the shrimp and lobster dip which was ok...then I decided to take a chance on the Prime Rib which I was very skeptical, moms even ordered one...well I ordered medium because everyone's Temps vary..it was very rare,no problem I ask to bring it up just a little but I didn't want it to look like my mother's mwell and she said ok,ok no problem I got you 2min.top I said yes..so she tells me to keep my sides, a twice bake potato and some asparagus so I did...and then the wait started...after 10 min I knew we were going to have a problem, so she says it's ready just the way you ordered it and then I waited 5min more..she finally sat it down and yes in fact it looked just like my mother's and I was very upset so she says well I will just charge you for the sides and I said i didn't come out for sides I came out for steak and I wouldn't have eaten the sides if I wasn't waiting for my steak,the whole plate should have been re-done..so she gets the Mgr. She was very professional and courtesy a nd handled the situation so kudos to her..she sent us home with desert but I am still hungry from no dinner,she offered but I refused,was so upset didn't get a pic of mine sorry..(was contacted by the owner or someone at the head office said they were going to make it right by sending me a gift card to return. ..that's been months ago,doesn't surprise me, that's a 😔 reflection I suppose. ..why even reach out to only offer false...
