Hy-Vee Bakery — Restaurant in Lee's Summit

I ordered my son a cake for his birthday, I ordered it over a week early. Asked for a 7” Spider-Man cake. Days later I came back to place an order for Spider-Man cupcakes. I needed the cupcakes in a 24hrs notice. They made it happen. They didn’t look the best but I figured it was cause of the 24hr notice. Today I went to pick up the Spider-Man cake. It looked the exact same as the cupcakes. I placed the order for this cake a week ago and it looks like no thought or effort was put into my cake. There is a Spider-man sheet cake in the display case that looks better than my custom ordered cake. I paid $27 for a cake that I literally could have made myself because they didn’t care about it. Hyvee bakery at Ward road exceeded my expectations!! I ordered a birthday cake and small smash cake over the phone on short notice AND during a holiday weekend. I intended to order more in advance and would recommend doing that. But so appreciated their great work in short notice. Just shared the colors and theme and the bakery did an AMAZING job!! So appreciate their great work. The cake looked beautiful and tasted delicious! The bakery had excellent customer service when I called and when I picked up my order.
