Hy-Vee Market Grille — Restaurant in Lee's Summit

We stopped in tonight for a quick dinner after the amazing and fast service we received the other night. Needless to say we won't be back. It started when the host seated a party before us when they got there 10 minutes after us, when I confronted him about it he said "no they got here before you and went into the store" then brushed me off like he didn't have time to address the situation. Once our 40 minute wait (We were estimated 25 even though there were open booths and tables) was over and we were finally seated the waitress came to get our drink order and all 3 of us ordered water, which never got refilled, she brought us our drinks and took our order my father in law got the AYCE crab legs, which came out cold with none of the claw crackers because "We've been so busy we just haven't had time to order them." My husband ordered a cheeseburger and fries with a side of bbq sauce and honey mustard, this came out lukewarm with a side of ketchup no honey mustard and no bbq sauce. I got the tempura shrimp roll and a side of the garlic mashed potatoes, the sushi was decent but three $2 side of potatoes was literally 3 small tablespoons of potatoes. When I spoke with the manager about the side of potatoes all she could say was "Yea, that's corporate policy". She did comp all of our meals, however we never received an apology about anything that happened tonight. I'll be really honest when I say that if I could give 0 stars...

This was my first time there. And I am willing to go back to give it another shot. We had a group of 10 so this may have played a factor in the service BUT... by the time we got our table we had prompt drink order service but the bar was very slow in turning anything out other than water or lemonade. Almost an hour after ordering food we started get our dinner before the salad and apps came out. Bar drink refills were again VERY slow. Luckily we had a great waitress who took the initiative to pour drinks on her own at the bar to speed up the drinks. THE FOOD... is the reason we will give the Market Grille another chance. My steak tacos were good, but seemed like they may have been sitting for a little bit and I'm glad I went with an extra taco as the chips were stale. I heard good reviews about the bottomless crab legs. Again, props to our server for keeping the crab on the table. Over all the experience was sub par. The table service was nice, due to our server. Today I encountered with a new female manager. Long brown hair about 5 4 pulled back wearing Chiefs attire. She was not very professional she was very rude, hateful and basically called me a liar. I was not very happy with his experience or how my daughter and I were treated. We have never had a problem with there before since Marketplace opened. We usually order breakfast or get the buffet and then we eat the HyVee Center this time they refused service because Market is dine-in only. Not sure how the management is being run now but we have part of my family they get stuff from HyVee and eats is a high V section so we get our food and then we join them not sure what the problem is or why they can't come to a common ground they're going to lose a lot of customers if they're not going to allow them to get food for the market grill and eat in...
