IHOP — Restaurant in Lee's Summit

Definitely didn't seem to like that we were gay, and I don't know if that was a them problem or a "were hosting the entire staff of state troopers right now problem" but either way I don't feel like we should have been treated badly either way. We came, we ate, we paid just like every other customer. We cleaned our table, our kids sat and were polite, they didn't dirty the floor, they said please and thank you, and we tipped well even though service wasn't great because we don't know what someone's going through but still don't feel great about how we were treated that day. Food was good but not good enough for the price you pay if that makes sense. It used to be that you paid for what you got but that's not really the case anymore. Anywhere it seems. I normally wouldn't go eat anywhere out and about. But we wanted to take our two youngest out somewhere special, they were having a rough time and we just wanted to make them feel special. We thought fast food is cheaper because the food isn't as good so we'll go to a sit down restaurant where the food is a little more expensive but it's betder food. But the food was more expensive but not really better than the fast food places.... And the atmosphere wasn't great because it seemed everyone was on edge because an entire group of state troopers were seated at two large tables. Everyone else seated seemed like they were afraid to laugh or speak, especially if they were a person of any color other than white.... If you know what I'm saying then I'm sorry you've experienced this. If you don't know what I'm saying then you're privileged and should probably get educated. Especially in today's world. Vibes...

Amazing experience, very hardworking team, the mangers are so friendly and welcoming. Said and Mennah are a great duo and I come in the morning and night time and they always check on me. Said is like the godfather of this location and his staff respects him, you can tell. The whole staff is full of hard workers and the food always comes out looking great. One time there was a cook named Abelino who was helping clean tables with the manager Said, you can tell they love working together. They have this little ihop house that they told me the staff built that they take so much joy in. This store is like a little community of it’s own. Great place to take your family and your kids.

The servers are so nice and welcoming. Ratrice AKA trece took care of me one time and she even let me keep one of her pens. Maddy and Hailey took care of me one time when I came at night and Maddy was so welcoming and had on an ihop sweater that she took so much pride in. One time I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Vanessa, the store was out of cheesecake pancakes because they are so popular and she recommended her favorite, the cinn-a stack pancakes. Rosa was her co worker and helped clean the table and had such a nice smile. Upon entering the restaurant, I was promptly greeted. I was asked how many would be joining me and this particular evening, and I was being accompanied 6 more people. I had to briefly wait for the staff to setup my table, which was fine because my party had not arrived yet. Once seated, I was asked for my drink request and it arrived shortly afterwards. Once the others arrived, their drinks were ordered and returned quickly. We needed a few minutes to look over the menu and when the staff returned briefly after our drink order, we asked for a few more minutes before ordering. Staff did not return for another 5-7 miinues, which might have been 10. Once we did order, it took around 10 minutes to get the food, but my daughter who ordered Mac and Cheese, had to wait the longest to get her order (5 min), which was a difficult to ascertain why. The food was hot and good with no complaints. I ordered an omelet with pancakes and I enjoyed it, but I recommend the steak omelet. The staff was good, aside from the long time to order. She was responsive to our requests and prompt otherwise. The business was busy, and she did a great job staying on top of things. The restaurant was clean...
