I hope all is well. Today on Dec 27th 2024 my family and I came into dine at your establish to celebrate a birthday. The waitress we had was incredibly sweet but accidentally knocked over the rest of our $14 martini onto the rest of our food and table. As this drink is $14 we would have liked to be able to finish the rest of it. By this time we didn’t have time to sit any longer and get a new one made so we asked if it could be removed from the bill. We asked this of two waitresses who both seemed very scared to ask the manager Melinda to do this common courtesy after spilling someone’s drink. The manager Melinda came over and asked us what the problem was very rudely. We explained that the rest of our drink has been spilled into our food and that we wanted it off the bill. We could have also asked for the food which had barely been eaten but we only were asking for the drink. Melinda stated that since we had drunk some of the drink she would not remove it from the bill. Then she asked exactly what percentage of the drink had been drank and we stated we had a little over half of the drink left. She then said well then I will give you half off but I will not comp you for a full drink that you already drank and walked off as we were speaking. She had the original waitress bring the new bill and it now had the “free” birthday cake added on the bill with the half off drink which made the bill more expensive than the first time. Everyone sitting around us was shocked at the managers behavior. I personally have never experienced such poor customer service in my life! This was our first experience here and it was amazing until it wasn’t. To have a manager like that working in this establishment shows a lot about the characteristics of this business. I am now scared to think about how the food was prepared in the back with her being over everyone. Hopefully there is something done about the diabolical behavior of your employee Melinda. Found this hidden gem off the outer road of a hiway, on our way to visit family, in Lee's Summit. We had arrived earlier than expected and needed breakfast. We decided to try this place out as we were on our way to McDonald's, which was typed In our GPS. We noticed a few cars and it was open. We sat at the bar and Stephanie was our Bartender. She was a sweetheart and kept us more than happy as customers. Our peach mimosas were delicious but she suggested a bloody Mary and we decided to take her up on her recommendation. We are immensely glad we did because she made the most delicious bloody Mary's and it was just the right mixture of Tabasco and BBQ sauce. She made our drinks with love and made us feel like we were enjoyed as her customers. A lot of times we eat out and feel like a burden. She catered to our every need and anticipated our needs we weren't eve aware of like a glass of water that never made it past the halfway mark. She never interrupted our dining experience she just kept our glasses full and delighted us with her welcoming conversation. She never left us and cleaned the bar while she listened to our travel chatter about the various places we have gone. The brunch buffet wasn't that great but her smile and service is the reason we are coming back to try it out again.
