I’m not want to leave reviews. Especially negative reviews. If I don’t like a place I simply don’t go back. However, something happened recently that sent me over the edge. I have a business in Lee Summit and I also live in Lee Summit. I have been spending my hard earned cash at Jimmy John’s for quite some time. On occasion I order lunch for my employees and I also order dinner for my family a couple times a month. So Jimmy John’s gets approximately $1500 a year from me. Recently I called to place a lunch order. The kid that answered the phone sounded like I had either awakened him from a nap or he just got finished smoking a joint. I told him I wanted to place an order for delivery. He then asked me who I was. Who I was, I thought? Really? Now, as I mentioned, I have been ordering from this place for years. Most every time I am greeted courteously and they already know who I am because my name appears on the screen when I called to place my order. Along with my delivery information. I told him my name and said my information should be on the screen there for him. He then said, “ what do you want?” In a tone that sounded like he would rather be anywhere but at his place of employment taking my lunch order. I told him what I wanted and barely got my order out before he hung up on me! I promptly called back and asked to speak with a manager. Another kid by the name, James, came to the phone. I tried explaining to him what had just transpired but he wasn’t interested in listening to what I had to say. Being a business owner I understand good help is hard to find. Most kids today don’t want to work, they just want a paycheck. And I’m sure manager James is probably overworked and don’t make much either. But, if you’re going to wear the label of manager you need to know how to deal with people. Manager? James, clearly doesn’t have the skills to do that. Sandwich shops are a dime a dozen. There is both a McAllister‘s and a Panera bread just blocks away. And Panera now delivers. My hard-earned cash is now going to go to them! Bye, bye, Jimmy,...
Read moreI ordered 2 sandwiches this afternoon, from James. He was very abrupt and short with me on the phone, while ordering. My order was particular, as my kids are picky. I kindly asked him to repeat my order, which he did in a snarky manner. Despite repeating them back correctly, the sandwiches were wrong when they got to my home. I called back, asking for the manager, which happened to be James. When I told him my sandwiches were wrong and how they were incorrect, he proceeded to argue with me, and tell me that the added avocado spread was to be exactly “1 teaspoon.” Whatever the case may be, the cherry peppers were also missing completely from my other sandwich. This is a reoccurring issue when we order from Jimmy Johns on Blue Parkway. However, I paid almost $25 for 2 sandwiches AND had him repeat my order. I feel as if the manager should have handled things more tactfully, and not so angered in his tone. Customer service is huge for business, especially in a supervisor role. Jimmy Johns has lost...
Read moreDont bother with this location, just go to the one on 291 highway, they are great. I ordered online and when I arrived 20 mins later, my food was not ready (which is totally fine! I understand). Once they made it, the the guy walks passed me and throws (literally throws) my order on a random table and walks off, not telling me that it's my order or saying anything at all. So I continue to wait and I ask this very nice young women about my order. She finds it and hands it to me. The whole time I was waiting she was the only employee that seemed to know how to do her job and was trying her hardest to catch up during their rush. I've worked countless customer service jobs, some food related and some not. I've never experienced this amount of neglegence or absurdity. Especially on one little john sandwhich and some chips. That guy should not be working in food or any type of customer service...
