Johnny Rays Drive In — Restaurant in Lee's Summit

October 2023 update: went back to give it One more chance to hopefully get the old Johnny rays back but it was just a terrible as the last time, over cooked fried food and disgusting cheese burgers we gave it one last shot but we won’t be back, so disappointed and disheartening

I have been eating here my entire life, i went through the almost shutting down a few years ago but it’s not worth it anymore, it’s not the same, prices are through the roof for half of what you used to get. The burgers are incredibly greasy, like I don’t think these kids know how to cook greasy, grease running through the bag greasy and anything fried tastes so bad I’m pretty sure they haven’t filtered the fryer oil in months, it really hurts me to write this but if you remember and crave the old Johnny Rays save your time and money, this isn’t it anymore. i don’t get how with so many people in that kitchen every time I look, someone can’t get it right, I have given them chance after chance to get it right but it is still consistently inedible, we...

SORRY TO BUST THE PEOPLES BUBBLES ABOUT THIS PLACE.....Thought when I first walked in it was a step back to a cool diner. Then as we waited to get our food I looked around. To my surprise there was lots of dust build up in-between the celling tiles. I had to use the restroom. as I was waiting inline to use the only one stall restroom I looked around in the kitchen. One lady had gloves on. then I looked up an saw a air conditioner that was dripping Water onto the table were the heat lamps an table for To go orders was on. They also had a tray leaned up next to the lMps an also told on counter to catch the water. Then looking to the left an saw the tiny To go window was a small air conditioner that I could see the cold air from it. It also had black dust an assuming it was dust an mold that was flying in the air. The restroom was filthy. The door looked like it had never been clean, trash was full. This was my first time going . They charged me for every individual item however there is supposedly “ daily special “ . Then I was short a fry that goes with my meal . Not a lick of salt insight . My burger was pretty dry and tasteless, and to top it all off I called about my fries missing and the young kid told me I only had today to get my fries because tomorrow they would have new people . And the cherry was my watered down drinks. I will not ever return to this place ever again in life . Not a good experience by far . If you like dry tasteless burgers with watered down drinks and unsalted fries and short and order of fries I recommend this place for everyone . But not for me . Customer service was...
