Honestly, it’s unfortunate, I’ve been going to this place pretty religiously for the past month, I’ve been ending my day there because I don’t have a home office and it’s a nice chill spot. But today I went to my usual table in the bar area which I always thought was open seating and it is behind the rail and there was someone sitting in my usual table so no big deal; I just sat at the table next to them because I know there’s a plug there because the owner usually has his laptop plugged in there but today it wasn’t so I decided to sit there. The person that was next to me, when her friend showed up her friend said that the chairs were too tall so they were going to go sit at a table with lower chairs. So I was like cool. I’ll just bounce over there if you guys are gonna move if you don’t mind I usually sit at the table, but since you’re leaving, and for whatever reason, one of them took that offensive, as if I thought I owned the table I was like no I’m only going to sit there because you had stood up and you guys were moving and there’s a plug over there, anyway no big deal they wanted to move so they moved to another table. But a few minutes later, the waitress came over and was like hey I know that you usually sit there but from now on you need to come get one of us so that we can assign you a table and put you in whatever section we need you to be in and I was like ok, I thought that behind the rail it’s open seating that’s how most bars are but nonetheless it was just an unpleasant experience and it kind of ruined a solid spot for me so I probably...
Read moreI liked that they opened up the space instead of having it broken into two, but I'm exttremely disappointed to see that they got rid of the few arcade games they had left. I picked this place bc I had a young kid and thought they'd enjoy the arcade games since most non chain restaurants in Lee's Summit aren't very kid friendly. Then I asked about the kids menu bc it said, "kids meal from anywhere else, 7:50." I was confused and assumed they would let the kid pick something off the main menu for the same kids cost. He said no, if you bring food in from another restaurant you have to pay them for having it there bc they have a kids meal and don't want outside food. The condescending nature of the menu is so unnecessary. They're saying if your kid is picky or hard to get to eat we don't want them here. We were buying food for our kid here. But the remark on the menu makes me not want to come back. I gave two stars bc the food is still good. But they have become not kid friendly which was my main reason I chose this over some downtown Lee's...
Read moreI'd love to give this place 5 stars because the food was very good, but the service was bad enough to overshadow the food. I'd eat here again but only as carry out. We had a group of 6 for my mom's birthday; got drinks, appetizers and entrées/pizza, and they legitimately tried to charge us a $20 fee to bring in our homemade birthday cake. Super disappointing for a local neighborhood spot. As for your reply, no, our service honestly wasn't even OK. Our server never even bothered to flash a smile the entire time we were there. And your policy is short-sighted when a table of 4 adults and 2 kids had already racked up a $100 tab, and we were never offered dessert or shown a dessert menu. Felt like a money grab. We've never once been asked to pay such a silly fee at any other local restaurant, let alone a ridiculous $20 fee. Not a good way to make your customers...
