The food was good but our server Brianna was horrible! The restaurant was less than half full when we were seated and introduced to our server Brianna. We watched her move around the restaurant doing various things but never came back to even take our drink order. After 15 minutes or so I went to the counter and found the Service Manager Cameron and expressed our displeasure. He was extremely courteous and professional. He listened attentively, apologized for Brianna's inattention, and took our food and drink order immediately. I then observed him having a conversation with our server. Cameron promptly brought us our drinks personally. When it was ready our food was brought out by Brianna. She was cold, short, and snippy. She mixed up the plates but my wife and I switched those ourselves. As she was leaving Brianna, Bri on her name tag, she tersely muttered if we needed anything else and we asked for napkins and ketchup. When she brought them she bounced them on the table as she kept walking past at full speed. The food was good but no one came by to check in to see if all was good or offer refills on our drinks until we were just about finished. Brianna finally stopped by and asked if we were finished or wanted to order desert. I said I would be ordering pie but wanted another ginger ale. She said ok, let, and after 10 more minutes returned without the drink but did bring the check. When I asked about the refill she said she would get it to go for me even though I had stated I was ordering desert. I just took the check and told her how horrible she and her service was. She just said okay and handed me our check. I found Cameron again and updated him on our experience. He listened attentively again and apologized again. He even gave me his and her's info because I told him I would be leaving an accurate review online. I was pleased with how he handled us and assured me that Brianna behaviorwould be addressed. He then paid for half the bill and gave me my slice of pie complementary. Because of Cameron I am sure that at some point my wife and I will try this location again but, if we do, we will steer clear of server Brianna if she is still employed and...
Read morePerkins in Springfield, MO is one of my husband’s favorite places to eat, alas all Perkins are not made equal. We ordered delivery through DoorDash: Per our DoorDash tracker, we went through 2 dashers, the first was not pleased with the waiting time. We received our order an hour later than initially approximated.
1/5 of the order was missing, another 1/5 seemed misrepresented, and the rest was fine. We tried to call the restaurant and ask after the missing part of the order at a minimum, no answer. For the time and cost we spent, I felt necessary to drive to the restaurant (12 minutes away).
After handing over the seemingly misrepresented order and asking for the missing part, a Perkins person (now referred to as Perkins) who seemed to have more authority came out. Perkins asked me what I would like done to the order. I shared I was hoping to receive a meal that looks like the website image. Perkins explained how it is not possible to recreate, which I agree with, I was hoping the order would be within range. Perkins asked if I wanted the seemingly blackened portion of the order undercooked or the bread (which was perfect) redone. I was shocked and felt disrespected by this line of questioning. In turn, I asked Perkins if this would be served to a dine-in customer, the answer was yes. Shocked!
I told Perkins, for my taste, the variation was too much and asked Perkins to address my concern. It seemed to me, the increase in customers milling around and showing displeasure at the exchange, led to Perkins offering to remake the order. In about 8 minutes, I had a new order in hand plus the missing part of the order.
Lessons learned, if this Perkins or their business partners make a mistake: Mistake who? Perkins is perfect Perkins will not pickup their phone Perkins will not apologize for inconveniencing you Perkins will gaslight/try to goad you into an exchange in front of their staff and other customers for seeking resolution
In the future, my family and I will be respectfully staying away from this...
Read moreI've been there three times now, I probably will not go again unless I am invited. Their food did not amaze me, I felt like it was overpriced, it also felt like something I could cook at home for barely anything. I was a little upset cuz one time I went in with a friend and he got an actual meal but I decided because I did not want to overstuff myself. I was going to get one waffle and one fruit cup. I got those two things and they tasted okay, I wouldn't say they were amazing, but I was upset that my one waffle and my one fruit cup cost only $3 less than his entire meal with a fruit cup on the side and a coffee. I'm shocked that there really wouldn't be that much of a price difference when I got a lot less food than him. I'm definitely going to keep it in mind, I would not recommend this store to anyone, but I can't really give it a bad review just because of the fact that I just really haven't been impressed, I was never mortified by the customer service because it was very mid-tier quality. My last waitress that I got, she was very short, my water had to go all the way on empty and stay empty for 5 minutes till she finally refilled it again. She eventually got it done, but I didn't feel she was the most attentive that she could possibly be. Note that we were not there at a busy time, it was 6:15 in...
