Pho Noodle Go in Lee’s Summit is an absolute gem, especially for anyone who enjoys Vietnamese cuisine. As someone who grew up in Houston—home to one of the largest Vietnamese populations in the country—I’ve had my fair share of authentic Vietnamese food, and I came in with high expectations. I’m happy to say Pho Noodle Go exceeded them.
We visited the restaurant during a special occasion: our 9th anniversary day date. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff greeted us with kindness and made sure our experience was smooth from start to finish. The space was clean, bright, and comfortable—perfect for both casual lunches and special dinners.
We started with the chicken potstickers, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. They were seasoned well and served hot, a great way to begin the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the lemongrass vermicelli bowl, which came with grilled meat, fresh herbs, vegetables, and crunchy egg rolls on top. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the balance of flavor, texture, and temperature was spot on. The lemongrass marinade gave the dish a beautiful citrusy kick that elevated the entire bowl. My wife ordered the pad thai, which had a great balance of sweet, savory, and tangy notes—not overly sauced, and the noodles had a great texture. It was one of the better pad thais we’ve had in the Kansas City area.
Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying the pho. The broth was rich and aromatic, with the kind of depth you can only get from hours of careful simmering. The meat was tender, and the portion was generous. We also shared a bahn mi sandwich, which came on a crisp, lightly toasted baguette with perfectly seasoned meat and fresh, crunchy vegetables. The contrast in texture between the bread and the fillings made every bite satisfying.
To top it off, I ordered a strawberry blended boba drink with strawberry filling—and I have to say, it was phenomenal. The blend was creamy and refreshing, and the strawberry center added an extra layer of sweetness that felt like a dessert in a cup. My wife had a strawberry drink as well and enjoyed it just as much.
What really stood out to me, aside from the food, was the hospitality. I had a chance to meet and briefly talk to the owner, who was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food and the service. You could tell this place was built with love, intention, and a commitment to quality.
As a Google Level 7 Reviewer who has reviewed spots across the country, I can confidently say Pho Noodle Go is one of the top Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to in the Kansas City area. From the quality of the dishes to the overall experience, everything was outstanding. Whether you’re new to Vietnamese food or a longtime fan, this spot is well worth a visit. I will absolutely be coming back—and I’m already recommending it to friends and family...
Read moreI’ve visited PNG twice now…first for lunch, second for dinner carry-out and both times the food and service were exceptional! At lunch, I inquired about the spinach crab Rangoon and received a free sample (delicious!) with my regular order. For dinner, I ordered the Kow Soi and asked for extra broth because I was sick and wanted to drink it instead of chew the noodles. I received exactly what I ordered with a “hope you feel better!” This kind of customer service (along with top tier, fresh tasty food) goes a long way with me. PNG is now in the weekly rotation! The crab fried rice is delicious, reasonably priced and I had enough left over to nibble on the next day. Fried egg rolls are vegan with crunchy bits of water chestnuts. Crab Rangoon is sublime. Only things missing are desserts (saw them in previous reviews and wanted to try) and some sort of tasty Thai spring roll for a...
Read moreI really wanted to like Pho Noodle Go, but the customer service was incredibly disappointing and completely overshadowed the food.
We ordered four entrées and only received three. When we mentioned the missing dish, the server seemed indifferent and made no effort to correct the mistake. Even more baffling--the steamed chicken dumplings were served cold. They had good flavor, but how do you serve something steamed and have it arrive cold?
We also ordered drinks that never came, despite reminding the staff. Yet somehow, the bill arrived quickly, and the staff hovered over us until we paid--super uncomfortable.
We were polite the entire time, so I genuinely don't understand why we were treated with such a lack of care or attention. It's unfortunate, because the food had potential, but I won't be coming back.
