eh. it's alright. party had 2 double scoops of ice cream (4 total) and it was $14.xx +tip. If they would have delivered Italian level gelato then it would have been worth it, albeit at a price higher than the gelato right on the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence. I've bought Gelato all throughout Italy and continental Europe and this was pricier than all. The flavors were not intense, but mild. Not indicative of Italian Gelato in any way. For example, they didn't have a "Chocolate". While an actual Italian Gelateria will have at least a half dozen chocolate varieties. Decor is metal chairs outside, no umbrellas. Bare bones chairs inside look like they are from Red Racks. Also this place has a prominent "Hate has no home here" so they serve up leftist politics circa 2020 with their ice cream. What cause I'm not sure but I know better than to ask 3 women with high fades for clarification of their semi permanent political chalk sign. They were not unfriendly but I'd rather not mix politics with Ice Cream.
This place benefits greatly from it's location and the fact that it's the only upscale ice cream place in Downtown LSMO.
Ice Cream 3/10 (didn't get me sick). Price 1/10. Atmosphere 2/10. Too much for too little. Don't be a rube and overpay for atmosphere and no substance in Downtown LSMO.

Read moreMy son and I went there to check it out so he could see if he wanted to bring his wife after they have dinner at their favorite spot, Hu Hut Mongolian Grill. We both loved the options we decided on, after I had to sample about three kinds! The man and woman were very pleasant, willing to smile, talk then helped this grandma with suggestions then put together flavors that hit the right spot and I do believe they would have let me have a sample of every flavor they were offering in the freezer.! So I will have to hide any bits of change/dollars I can find or get so that I can go back to see what new flavors I can sample, but it just makes it harder to decide on one when they have too many different options. Ice Cream! They have my two weaknesses, because they also have some great sounding coffees for my next trip, then another, oh what a deadly cycle I could do thru Lee's Summit just trying all the local, smaller coffee shops and ice cream shops that are friendlier and have better options then the well known names that make you tired of having the same flavors all the time until the run a seasonal...
Read moreTried to go to this place three different times now within their regular hours and they've been closed. We gave them a break the first two times because once was due to their being closed on Sundays until Spring, the other was because they decided to close due to the icy weather. But this last time (today), they had their "OPEN" sign visible, and several lights in their window showing they were open but a handwritten letter on the door - only visible once you walked up to the door - said they had closed early "because of the weather". The downtown area was heavily populated with cars, so we had to drive by and see their "open" sign and window dressings lit up only to park pretty far away and then walk to the door to find it locked with the paltry, apologetic hand-written note stating they had closed due to the weather. There was plenty of business downtown and weather or no weather, that doesn't explain the poor decision to leave their "OPEN" sign clearly visible and their window dressings lit. They've wasted our time for the last time. We won't be...
