I ordered the Falafel Pita Sandwich and the #46, the Kabab Combo. First of all, I underestimated the size of the dishes...these are big portions! I tackled the Falafel first.
The falafel itself was fresh, soft, moist and exactly what I was looking for. The sandwich itself was well accompanied with lettus pickles, lettus and tzatziki sauce. The thing that ruined it for me was that the tzatziki sauce was very watery. There was a pool of watered down sauce at the bottom of my plate, which soaked through the pita and made everything soggy. I tried to look past it and enjoy the Falafel itself. Next time I'll just order a Falafel plate or platter so I can make my own as I go and bot have a soggy sandwich.
By the time I got to the kabab I was stuffed! I did force down a few bites and I was pleased. The rice was tasty and reminded me of times when I was in Iraq been fed by a friend. Everything on the plate was good. I'd say that the kabab itself was a bit bland but the flame broil taste was good... you can add some salt to it and you'll be just fine.
Overall, I'll definitely be back. The staff was kind and friendly, the establishment was comfortable, welcoming and clean....and I didn't leave smelling like the restaurant!
Thank you,...
Read moreWe went tonight for first time. My son got shawarma platter, I got the shawarma sandwich with soup, and husband got kabob platter. The portions were extremely generous. My burley 28 year old son was barely able to finish his plate. My husband and I needed a go clam shell to take home about half of our respective meals for tomorrow. The soup was really special and delicious, and my sandwich spicy, juicy piping hot . It was all very good. The rice is very good. The kabobs tasty and spicy. The only reason not 5 stars, is , my sandwich was served in a plastic basket .It is a casual place , a few steps up from fast food and with just a few changes could be so much much more as the food deserves it. . They have a menu displayed on the wall, you order and they bring it to your table. Everyone was very nice, and greets you. If you have a larger party say 10-15 people this place will work. There is a kiddie menu. I did not see alcohol being served, which matters not to me. We will be back. Oh yeah we got baklava to go. Delicious. For the 3 of us, 2 dinners with salad soup, and sandwich plus backlava it was under30 bucks for everyone. It is...
Read moreI’ve been there more than one time. I’m giving review based on my last visit. It was late and went there to have dinner. I ordered shish kabab which is beef. There was options for soup or salad. As usual I asked for soup. But they ran out of soup. But didn’t offer anything else instead. Whatever, food was served and kabab was done like medium rare! Seriously! I would have go to some other restaurant where they offer such rare or medium rare steak! As it was not done perfectly it was too hard to get it from the stick. My husband took chicken kabab it was good. So, I ate from him. But my husband liked this undercooked beef so I was lucky to exchange it with him and had my dinner. Btw I’ve been there before and they welcome warm and nice. Their shawrma is really good.
So, my suggestion is after ordering you should tell them how you would like the meat. Like soft or hard!
