Visited today on Christmas (2018) and went through the drive-thru. I have been to this Starbucks many times, always seeing energetic, fun Baristas who make drinks with precision and customer-appreciation. Today though, the woman who was at the window had taken a shift at the Lee’s Summit Starbucks to help out, even though she worked primarily at the Johnson (or Mission, I cannot remember) drive location. In the sixty seconds or less I was at the window I saw 7 different employees, all perky, you honestly wouldn’t have thought it was the day most businesses shut down and employees expect the day off. Every single employee waved to me, interacted well—despite being from different stores—and made my Starbucks stop before work exceptional. I know that during the holiday season lines seems bigger, waits longer, and customers un-happier, but I wanted to express my gratitude for this cafe. I am very thankful to the employees who committed their time to work today and provided exceptional service. Thank...
Read morePlease, folks, don’t waste your time here. The employees are consistently rude and unhelpful. I had dietary restrictions and rather than listening to my order, they scribble something on the cup and charge me $6 for it. (Believe it or not— it wasn’t what I intended to order). They have forgotten about my drinks and I was waiting for 15 minutes before the baristas even STARTED crafting my order. I’ve attempted to use a reward for a free drink here before, but the barista only took $2 off of the price of my drink AND also removed the reward from my account. Normally, I just avoid this spot, but it was on my way to where I was going and I thought I’d treat myself. Turns out, treating myself is just a 10 minute wait for something I don’t want. Don’t do like I did. Just drive the couple of extra minutes to the one on Douglas or, if you’ve got the time, head over to the one at Chipman. I promise it’ll...
Read moreUnfortunately, I will not be going back to this location. It has happened Twice where I have asked for an alternative milk and then received cows milk. I'm not lactose intolerant or on a diet...I am ALLERGIC to dairy. Now, I understand cross contamination with using the shaker bottle's. I don't mind that little* risk because they are rinsed out between drinks. I can't drink an entire cup of coffee with diary and be okay though. If you are out of a particular milk, all you have to do is ask to sub instead of assuming a person will be okay with cows milk. There is like 4 different kinds of alternative milk. Especially when I have to pay extra for it. I really enjoy the morning crew! They are always super nice and never got my drink wrong. Both times this has happened was around Noon, but I still wont be going back. It took me 3 days to recover from this incident and I don't want to go...
