Subway — Restaurant in Lee's Summit

I came in today (April 19th) between 2:30 and 3:00 PM, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize the young man who was working during that time. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, making my son and I’s sandwiches with great care. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious!

My son and I decided to say there and eat and What stood out the most about this employee was his genuine effort to engage with each customer while preparing their food. He took the time to ask about their day and was naturally personable, which is something you don’t see often in customer service nowadays —especially from someone his age. It’s clear that you have a truly exceptional employee, and he’s a great reflection of the kind of service that makes a difference. You should be proud to have him...

The employees and service here are fine but a few practices they take part in force me to rate 1 star. They combine their oil and vinegar into a single bottle, so if you're a person who wants only one or more of one than the other you're out of luck. They purposefully undercook their bread, I've asked why all their bread looks raw and the lady behind the counter said "our manager wants us to cook it that way." This leads to a floppy sandwich with no texture, just a mushy cold cut. The toppings bar is always littered with crumbs and loose toppings even when they aren't busy.

I've been to at least 30 Subways in the KC MO area, this one...

Subway inside the Walmart. Visited on a Sat at 12:30 - has 1 worker. Slooooow. She was NOT changing her gloves after ringing one customer up and making a new sandwich. I told her she needed to change her gloves. She made a face. I didn't care because I'm not eating it if she doesn't change her gloves. GROSS. HAS SHE BEEN TRAINED??? So the bread was all way over baked. The sandwich wasn't good. Then my daughter got a hair in her cookie. Like a dog hair. Weird. Also the cookie was hard. Not sure what the condition ofthe cookie should have been. Would not recommend this subway. Train the worker! Maybe a spy from the health Dept...
