Taco Bell — Restaurant in Lee's Summit

I went to this Taco Bell tonight because they do a good job as far as fast food goes. The food is always fresh and hot.

I miss interacting with the employees rather than ordering off a kiosk though. Personal interaction with people is still an important aspect in customer service in my opinion, but maybe that’s something that others do not care for.

I was saddened to see that their toilet paper dispenser in the women’s bathroom was broken and the huge toilet paper roll was just sitting on the railing. It made getting the tissue a bit difficult. The bathroom otherwise, was very clean though.

One thing that I did find rather concerning was the fact that the employees decided to celebrate 4th of July a day early and were all standing outside the building shooting off fireworks. My husband and I were sitting on the patio area eating our food, and firecrackers were being set off relatively close by. I understand that maybe one or two might have been on break, but not all of them! Given the fact that it was not busy, maybe that was totally okay for them. It was just a bit startling hearing the loud popping of fireworks while we were enjoying our dinner.

Overall, a good restaurant for fast food, and I am not opposed to eating here again, but a couple of things do have room for...

Horrible experience. Was in there Thursday evening 6/12/25 around 6:50 pm. Was the only one in the lobby. Maybe 2 cars in drive thru. First off, The young lady working at the counter rudely asks me to use kiosk to order. She wasn't doing anything she could easily have taken my order. So I oblige. I order only 2 bean burritos. No drink. There are 3 young men that I can see clearly making the orders, & one young lady at the drive thru. (So clearly not understaffed!".. I stand there at least 6-8 minutes while they hand the drive thru at least 8-10 orders. I finally ask the young man closest to me "Is my order about ready?" He rudely barks back " we're working on it man!" I don't reply. Then about 2 minutes later, all three young men walk out of sight to the back. Not telling me anything. About a minute later (so now over 15 minutes of waiting) young lady at the drive-thru brings me a bag with my order. So my order had been sitting at the drive-thru window. Very unacceptable service. I don't mind the wait if someone would give me an explanation without an attitude! I would give "no star" review if I could. I have the general manager's name from the window it is pasted on. Soooooo slow, oh my goodness! Mind you I had 3 very hungry young kids in my car. I know its Taco Bell, but come on... Make a dang taco. We sat in line for 35 minutes. Yes 35 minutes and still no food. Finally got to the point to ask for a refund to go somewhere since she didnt know when the food would be out. The lady at the window was very nice said we could get a refund and our food. Manager finally comes takes another 10 minutes just to get money out of the drawer. After she did that she told us goodbye. And we were like, what about the food lol? The manager then said we should have beared with them and we were not getting any food.... Then proceeded to slam the window in our face and walk away. I know, its taco bell dont expect too much. But 45 flipping minutes to get the window slammed in our face!? Not to mention the 4 cars behind us had already left.. Ughh. If we didnt pay we would have left long before. Never ever going there again. Ignore...
