I'm a Lee's Summit native who has been living in Rhode Island for nearly a decade. Every time I come home, I make sure to stop at Taco Via. The quality and service is always good, and I crave their taco sauce on a regular basis. This summer, I actually bought a large order of sauce, and kept in the cooler on the drive home. I went through it quickly, but found that it froze and thawed really well! Not as good as dining there, but enough to get me through until my next Taco Via visit!

I love this little place! It seems like a little time capsule sort of place, though it was a little more "friendly" before the "pand"; there is a plexiglass barrier at the counter now. Still, it's a far better alternative to any fast food mega chain selling the same sort of menu offerings. It's worth it to pay a little more and buy locally, including taco yummy.

Always the best. The original 95th & Antioch location can't be beat. Debbie is the best front of the restaurant gal ever! Nachos (peppers on the side for me), Sanchos and/or Beef & Bean Burritos with onion sauce are always required on a trip to Taco Via! Love it!

I can't remember the last time I was in a restaurant surrounded by other customers talking about how much they LOVED the place. Yet that is exactly what happened a couple of days ago.

Despite living in Lees Summit for over a decade and being aware of Taco Via's presence, I never stopped in. I'm not into any type of fast food and Taco Via is pretty much a fast food place. But in a hungry and hurried moment a couple of weeks ago, I decided to stop. I had a cheese taco and side item. Prices were really reasonable (more $ than Taco Bell, less $ than a sit down Mexican restaurant) so my expectations were not high.

The lady behind the counter was courteous and seemed to sincerely appreciate me coming in. There were two young adults in the kitchen busy cooking. So I've already taken notice that they're not a typical place run by 16 year old kids. Then I get my taco. Wow.... it was a nice, big taco. Plenty of hamburger and it not the crummy mushy stuff either. Plenty of cheese. I returned to try the enchiladas. They were pretty darned good too. Feeling like I'd probably just been lucky on my first two times, I returned a 3rd and 4th time. Each visit was a really good and reasonably priced experience.

Here's the thing, every time I've been in there another customer has been telling the lady at the window how far they drove to get there. Or how much they love their food. Or that once they started buying Taco Via for their lunch everyone else in their office wanted it too. There have been two $100.00 + orders going out in two of my four visits. Two days ago, the four other people also waiting for their food (a huge order was being prepared) raved to each other about how they've been coming for years, wanted Taco Via to open up a location closer to where they lived, and that they loved their sauce. One guy in front of me was buying dinner for three people and ordered FIFTEEN cups of sauce. FIFTEEN. He said he would be in trouble if he came home with any less. One customer claimed their food was addicting.

I'm actually regretting not trying this little family owned business a few years ago. No, it's not of the same caliber as my beloved Guadalajara Cafe (RIP) or other authentic places but it's quick and reasonably priced to go American/Mexican food. I don't look for reasons to be offended so nothing hanging on the walls bothered me.

A solid 4 out of 5 stars for semi Mexican food featuring hamburger, chicken and bean entrees. At this time it is still...

Well I’ve been coming to this location for almost 20years. ( lees summit on rice rd and 291) Little on the pricey side but really like what I have always gotten. This visit was different. The owner that normally takes the order is no longer there. The young lady was nice and friendly. I ordered my normal two tacos and a taco dog. Paid and waited, got the order, and went home. When I got to the house about 17 minutes away I found my order to be incorrect. So I headed back to the restaurant and proceeded to tell the young lady what had happened. She looked at it and then proceeded to talk to the young man in back. She looked for the ticket to my order. He then went in the back and proceeded to remake my order, which was really fast. By the way, it was the taco dog that was missing. By this time the food was at least 30 minutes old. (Cold) He came back from the kitchen and handed me the bag and she handed me the first bag I brought back. I stated I wanted the tacos replaced, also, and all he said was that she repeated it back she stated it was her fault. He then said he wasn’t going to remake the tacos and walked away. I have never been treated like this there, and I will never return. This place is being run very poorly. I was insulted by this young man. I do not nor will I ever recommend this place again. What a sad state of affairs. What is this...

Tonight for dinner I Googled Taco Via so I could try it, and I wanted to support somewhere local. I was pleasantly surprised when the was a menu WITH prices attached to their Google website... When we picked up our order the price was nearly double what we were expecting it to be, so we went back in to make sure there wasn't a mix up. The owner was very unapologetically matter of fact that they do not post their prices anywhere but in the store... Taking a minute to let the frustration subside, after we left I decided to call and suggest to them that they remove the menu pricing from their Google account so they don't have any future confusion with other guests... The girl who answered the phone was extremely rude and argumentative that they do not have any prices online and they can't control what other people post to their Google account... I continued to offer the suggestion and even how it could be done, yet she got more rude.. I finally hung up.... PS their food is mediocre at best! I will not be back! And before anyone wants to think I'm just some whiny poster, I've got 15 years of service industry and management experience... Had they even offered a simple sorry I would not be...
