When you want something different from the ordinary run of the mill, something that isn't a boring chain. When you want to go somewhere that you know the food is freshly made that day, the pasta is cooked to order, the sauces are made fresh, the chicken is seasoned just perfect, and the cannoli are stuffed fresh when you order. When your Boulevard beer is served cold a d you have the best chocolate Strawberry martini you could ever imagine made with strawberry puree. When you want some place that feels like Grandma's house, warm and full of comfort, a place that just feels welcoming, and feels like home, then come here, come to The Farfalle Bistro, these ladies will take great care of you. My family and I decided to find a place different than our normal go to, so we came here and we certainly will be coming back. We love how the menu is simple yet large enough to offer choices for all, and how it changes, to give a variety of taste. We only had one downfall that my daughter and I didn't care for, and that would be the salad dressing was just a tad bit too spicy for us, my husband loved it. It would be nice if there were an additional option. My daughter LOVED the sugo and the meatball, she said her meal was "a bowl of happiness" a 9 on a scale of 10! My husband had the chicken spiedini with Mashed potatoes and asparagus, saying it was excellent, with flavorful tender chicken and incredibly seasoned asparagus. I had the farfalle in pesto cream sauce with prosciutto and peas, the chef kindly added the pesto to the garlic cream base for me, knowing I am a pesto lover and it was beyond INCREDIBLE. The cost was very reasonable as well, for the environment, great service, home cooked to order food, and the portion size, well worth the cost and value! We left with such full bellies that our cannolis will be our dessert once we get home, and I am sure they will be just as amazing as everything else. Thank you to the amazing staff, everything was beyond wonderful, we will be back, and we will be spreading the word of your amazing restaurant to our friends and family.

I typically do not take the time to write reviews but every once and awhile I feel it necessary to share poor experiences with fellow foodies and wine enthusiasts. The rude server and blue (not edible) veal should have been the worst part of our dinner but unfortunately it wasn’t. We ordered the “featured” and most expensive bottle of wine they had available - first bottle was opened at the table and tasted prior to being poured, as it should be. When we asked for another bottle of wine (shared between 4 moms on girls night out), the second bottle was slammed down on our table, had already been opened with the cork upside down. No tasting and no wine service. It was very quickly clear the wine we were paying for was not the wine we were getting. Completely different color and taste. When we asked about the wine we were ignored and then received no further service the rest of the evening until our bills were brought to us. Our rude waitress, that has zero business being in the food service industry, then proceeded to add additional tip to all 4 of our cards after we had signed our tabs. The owner reluctantly agreed to reimburse for the additional tip added - see screenshot of text message. So if you’d like to roll the dice on getting food poisoning, paying for a bottle of wine and having it refilled with boxed wine, plus having your waitress add whatever additional tip she sees fit for her inadequate service, this is your place.

Cozy place with good ambience, like siting at a dining table with a bunch of friends and family.. They were very busy with a large broup of 10 and although there were empty tables, we were asked to wait until the hostess (?) asked the waitress if we could be seated.. So we had to wait a little bit before we got menus, etc... I was looking at the catering menu out of curiosity, and was basically told I could not look at it.. weird. Any way the order was taken and food was app was brought which was VERY good, 2 kinds of bread witth 3 different dipping sauces.. yummy.. Had to ask for small bread plates and I got my own straw for my water. Pasta was excelllent, Cream sauce and Pesto sauce both with chicken (+$7) . Personally I think bread is a standard with Italian dishes, but no.... and then they lost my credit card.....but found it and we all laffed...hahahaa.. $73+tip for 2 dinners, 1 app and 1 dessert... Those dining experiences are gonna cost you...

I am so frustrated with this establishment. I have no complaint with their food, but three times they have called and canceled reservations that I have made for special occasions anniversary birthday, and once made a reservation bragging about their good food and brought down friends from north of the river to try them only to have them cancel our reservation All due to inclement weather when I have driven by in the street is completely clear in front of the establishment, it just is such a poor way to do business. Tonight I checked the website and it says open on the website, but I thought before I went up there and got turned away again I would text to make sure and sure enough. They said they were closed due to inclement weather, even though every street in Kansas City is completely The only way I will patronize the business in the future will be on a carryout basis. I know it’s small and family owned and I try very hard to support small family owned businesses in Lees Summit But that’s kind of what goes with owning a business is being open when you say you were supposed to be open. I owned my own business for 23 years and believe me there were many a day I did not want to open when weather was terrible, but I still opened that business every single day of the year. For that reason, I have to...
