Our waitress was great! The atmosphere was great! The price was reasonable for two people. The food was ok. The hand battered onion rings were great but there was massive amounts of grease on my plate. The waitress grabbed another plate for my sandwich to prevent the bread from being soaked. My husbands fries were saturated in grease. Yes i get it…fried foods are supposed to have some grease but this was excessive grease. When you pick up a fry and it flops over and when you squeeze it and the grease runs down your hand. That food item has been soaked in grease. The cook didnt even give my hubby the appropriate amount of chicken tenders. The waitress attempted to correct the cooks mistake. Waitress said she was gonna check on chicken but hubby was done and said don’t worry about the chicken. The Waitress gave us a discount for the missing chicken tenders. Im giving a higher rating because the waitress was doing a great job despite the cook not doing what was required. If we ever come back it, it will be for a game and maybe a cocktail not...
Read moreYeah this was not good at all… First time was a few years ago which was good, so I decided to come back with a friend. Got the Cowboy Burger with fries. First, the bun was old and flakey, the burger was extremely overcooked and tasted burnt, which is funny cause I was never asked how I like my burger. The fries were unexplainable, but just know they tasted like grease, probably from being over cooked as well..
Lastly, the condiments. The honey mustard was in fact just mustard, and the chipotle mayo that comes on the burger was awful. Since it’s basically the reason the burger is what it is, I would assume it would already be on it. Instead, it was brought out in a cup, the waitress said some people didn’t like it on the burger, which was odd. After tasted it, I now understand why.
Believe it or not, this is me being kind. Possibly the normal cook was not there, or maybe was having a bad day, but this review is my first ever, and it’s not to tarnish the reputation of the business, but instead, to hopefully help the establishment out with preparing...
Read moreStopped in to ‘Westside Grill & Bar’ during a recent visit to Lee’s Summit for some light fare and drinks. ‘Westside’ appears to be a popular neighborhood bar with flat screen TVs, bar seating and ‘high top’ tables.
The menu options are impressive for a ‘sports bar’ destination. We ordered modest fare - a ‘Sausage & Pepperoni’ pizza. The pizza was served hot out of the kitchen, was well prepared and sausage & pepperoni were good. Beers were served cold, and were enjoyed.
Our waitress was attentive, in spite of a ‘full house’ the day we stopped in. We observed staff regularly interacting and serving customers. We felt as though we’d dropped in on a neighborhood gathering, as many of the patrons knew one another. Though we were visitors, we felt comfortable during our visit.
The only negative was the seating. Our ‘high top’ seats were somewhat uncomfortable and as a result, ended our visit...
