Sunny's Restaurant — Restaurant in Lee

Absolutely horrible 1st time experience! Decided to check out Sunny's and try something new. Sat in the back towards a little high top bar. Waited 15 mins for someone to come and ask for our order. At first, I assumed they were just busy so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. But as I observed the waitress, I noticed she was more involved with the "regulars" than the rest of her customers. We finally were served our food, which was sub par. The only compliment I have was that their pancakes are pretty good sized. After finishing breakfast, we sat for another 15 min waiting for her to come and give us our check. I think the only reason she could tell it was time was the fact that I was staring at her while she was mingling with everyone at the bar. At this point we finally got our check and now waited another 10 minutes for her to come back and run my card. This kind of customer service was disappointing and unacceptable. We felt like our business was not worth it over the regulars. I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends unless they were regulars since if you were, you were treated like gold! Won't be coming back...

Sometimes they get extremely busy because they're only open limited hours, but if you get a chance to eat there, I definitely recommend it. My first experience was 1 star because I never got to actually eat there. The second time was great, and they instantly earned 5 stars. The third time was even better, and despite having only 3 servers, they managed to keep things moving and the food was perfect.

The food here truly is perfect in both experiences there, The serving size was surprisingly plentiful, and after eating there once, this instantly become one of our favorite places in the area. They have a very standard menu, not much in the way of vegan or vegetarian options, but we found the macaroni and cheese or pancakes to be excellent. As for prices? They are shockingly reasonable.

The only downside? Their hours. You need to figure out what their hours are before going, as they don't open very long, and they are not open every day. When they are open, be prepared to wait 30 minutes or more at peak times; they get busy! We thought about leaving, but decided to be patient, and it was more...

5 adults, 1 hi chair $118 Food was amazing We Arrived at 930, said they would call and to wait outside. 10am went back in and saw our name crossed off. When we got seated ordered the baby’s food right away as she was ready for her pancake.! Had to call the waitress back to place our orders…not sure what she was waiting on? Waitress never came back to ask if anyone wanted more water or drinks, after serving us the initial drinks. Never smiled and had apparently no training in working in the service industry. This based on watching how she was with others, as well as how she told people to move and stand outside. By 11:10 we told them we were walking out. By now we were taking turns taking the toddler outside as she was fussy and bored. Also pointed out the party of 4 that came on after us was eating. We asked 2x if she was sure the order was put in.
