Somewhere between the Old National Road and Interstate 70, a brick road runs into a parallel universe. It drops back in time yet thrusts us forward. In the heart of the quaint town of Lewisburg, Ohio, a small bistro beckons. When I open the door, you understand.
The lively setting entertains your senses through ambiance and flavor. The vanilla scent meanders while the bold espresso embraces. In an instant, you’ve materialized in coffee shop heaven. Surrounded by ancient brick and glossy lumber, the rustic eatery feels historic and energetic simultaneously. You order pizzazz-laced drinks and food of full flavor off white-lettered blackboards and from a kind-hearted barista. But you’ve experienced this before. This is the future: coffee served full-tilt, hustle and bustle, people running through life at break-neck speed while ignoring personal dissatisfaction. Until you turn around.
Across the room, a sultry voice calls. She’s a past muse, one you’ve seen but never touched, and her elegant form dovetails into nostalgia. Each antique section sells connection: a desire for a time past, a longing for the comfort of days gone by. The rustic feel makes sense; the brick road allures. This isn’t a highly caffeinated jolt through the morning; it’s a sauntering stroll through years gone by. An opportunity to reconnect with yourself.
Why not? Why not take a moment to enjoy nostalgia, to catch up with yourself, or to make a friend with someone doing the same? There’s no rush; you’re on a brick road, not a super highway. And, you can still get a jolt of your favorite flavor to sip and share with friends old and new.
The Brick Rhod Bistro has created something you’d never say—the past and future collide and call...
Read moreI frequent the shop as I love there hot expresso. Their Canadian bacon bagel is delicious as well. Overall not unhappy with the store itself, just the attitude in the mornings. I ordered this specific meal today and when I received my drink it was a cold drink. I may have been a little sleepy but I know I always ask for hot coffee. One of the girls behind the counter wanted to argue with me that I did in fact not order a hot and I said cold. Although she did remake my drink, I felt like it was done with an attitude and I could hear them talking about how she knew I had specifically said cold. As an employee of a restaurant, if i had done this, i would have been wrote up or fired for treating customers so carelessly. I did not argue just apologized so that i could get my right order. Customer service needs a lot of work if that's how they...
Read moreThis place is cute and a community staple but I think I sadly have to stop coming here and I caution anyone against eating here! I live nearby and used to frequent this restaurant for coffee and all things pastry and even love to take out of town guests here to show off our gorgeous village. That being said, three occasions in the last month there have been dead bugs in my food or on my food (gnats/flies, gross!) one fly on a cinnamon roll as it was being brought out to the case and 2x I saw cockroaches in the bus bins when I went to return my dishes. I don’t think sharing a kitchen space with an antique dealer is working out when it comes to this bug issue but I hope they work it out because I want to return but can’t bring myself to get any more...
