Until today this was our go to place for good food and time shared with our large family. But today, rather than enjoying ourselves as we had over a half dozen times in the past, we were denied service inside the establishment due to having a ADA registered service animal. Proper documentation on the rights of individuals with disabilities in the United States was presented to the waitstaff who replied that the owner was adamant that no service animal was allowed inside the building. I would like to reiterate that we had eaten at this resteraunt over 6 times before tonight, each time with the same service animal in tow. To say I was outraged is an understatement, so we left the premises and took our business to Los Amigos in Tell City where we were treated with the utmost respect. When it opened I kept seeing a lot of vehicles outside and now I know why. Do yourself a favor and stop in. Wow, it's really good. Its not just another Mexican joint. Light and fluffy fresh chips start your experience and the salsa is yummmm. The menu? Easy and uncomplicated. Clean laminated pages with vibrant colors. Do you like taco salad? That light fluffy chip bowl is the bomb son. Is it clean? Yeah, It shines. Look in the wall corners for a spider web, look at the floors. Look at the seats, tables, windows. Wash up in the restroom and check ot out, it's stocked and clean. Service? Dont worry, your glass wont go dry. Wait time? You'll still be eating those chips and drinking tea when that hot plate of yummy for your tummy comes out. Pro tip...get extra salsa when you're seated. You'll want more. Enjoy your meal. Let me start by saying this is so close to being a 5 star restaurant. The food is some of the most incredible Mexican cuisine I've ever had. The chicken here was so juicy and well cut. The guacamole was flavorful. The pico de gallo was so fresh. The chips were thin and freshly baked. The beef was flavored beautifully. The salsa left something to be desired as it was fairly bland. The one draw back was really the service. The restaurant was pretty dead when we went and somehow our server never came back to follow up and lost our ticket so we had to retell them our order to have a new ticket made. It wasn't like it was terrible service and everyone was friendly, but it wasn't in my top 5 of experiences. Overall it was magnificent food and just okay service.
