BabyCakes Cupcakes — Restaurant in Lexington

I live out of state but needed to order some gluten free and vegan cupcakes and a cake for my daughter’s 21st birthday (she lives in Lexington). Tricia was so kind and easy to work with and made the ordering process so simple. I had never tried any of the items at Baby Cakes so I knew I was taking a risk ordering without ever trying them, but I trusted all the google reviews. I was so blown away by how amazing everything tasted! Tricia was so warm and friendly when I came to pick everything up and she had decorated everything exactly as I had asked My daughter and her party guests devoured everything and we got so many compliments. I can’t speak highly enough of our experience with Baby Cakes. Definitely the best cupcakes I have ever had, and you would never know they were gluten free and vegan. I would definitely recommend Baby Cakes for any occasion but especially if you need something for someone with dietary restrictions. 10 out of 10...

Literally the BEST. I have far too much to say about this place, so let me try to summarize. When I moved to Lexington 7 years ago I was disappointed by the limited selection of business that could accommodate food sensitivities. I thought my dairy allergy would keep me from being able to have any sweet treats, but I’ve never been more wrong. It didn’t take me long to find Babycakes and after only one visit I became a die-hard fan. Babycakes is probably best known for creative and delightful cupcakes (vegan and gluten-free included!), but the mini cakes, smash cakes, and puppy cupcakes are all show-stoppers too. I got married this past year and was relieved to know at least one planning decision would be easy: cupcake tower! Absolutely amazing!!! I used Babycakes for my wedding and Tricia was so accommodating! She was incredible every step of the way! I was planning my wedding from out of state but she was always prompt with her responses and she made me feel so at ease about the process! She even delivered and set up the cupcakes for me!

The actual cupcakes themselves are fantastic! I tried so many mediocre and dry cupcakes but these cupcakes are moist and delicious! I got so many compliments during the reception! They were a hit! They were even amazing for breakfast the next day (we had some no shows so we had extra cupcakes) and people were fighting over them at the day after brunch!

Overall five stars all the way! I'm so happy with Tricia and I'll be using her every time I have an event...
