We ate here on 8/17/2024. This was my first time visiting the town of Lexington, and we were looking for a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. We ordered burgers and fries, drinks, a milkshake, and a piece of chicken. The person who took our order was nice and there wasn't a long wait for our food. Upon going to the dinning area I was very surprised with how all the tables were dirty. Seeing the dirty tables really killed my excitement. I feel we must of just gotten there after a rush, but I see this issue was present in another review. Please make sure your dinning area tables are getting cleaned. No one wants to sit at a dirty table to eat. Also, as it pertains to the dinning area the tables were really uncomfortable to sit at. The burgers, fries, and milkshake was just okay and comparable to a Tastee-Freez if anyone remembers that restaurant. The chicken though was very good, and I would say was the best part of the meal. The chicken was very hot and juicy, and I felt I made a mistake not ordering a chicken dinner over what I ended up ordering. The restrooms were clean. Overall, I was a bit let down. I may check this place out again at another time, but I hope when I return that the dinning area is...
Read moreGood place. Solid value. I had the 3 piece fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and cole slaw.
The wing and thigh were a tiny bit overcooked and dried out. The breast was very good, moist and flavorful.
I would have hoped for a bigger serving of sides, they both came in small condiment cups. They were on par with--indistinguishable from--the potatoes and slaw at KFC.
All in all, the fried chicken dinner was good. A step or two up from KFC (for about the same price) but two or three steps down from the best fried chicken you have ever had (which, for me, was at the Grande Luxe Cafe at the Venetian, but which also cost twice as much).
I also tried the "sauce burger." After feeling a bit shorted on the sides, I decided to have a sauce burger for dessert. It wasn't to my taste. The sauce the burger is dipped in tastes like a sloppy joe tomato sauce, so it was basically like having a Manwich. The burger had that toughness that indicates it was frozen as a patty and grilled from frozen. Meh. But also just $2.
I'll definitely go back. $12 for a fried chicken dinner, a medium drink and a burger for dessert seems like...
Read moreFor over 20 years, I have been just like 1,000's of other people in this area, I dearly ❤️ their fried chicken, burgers, fish, cole slaw, well you get the picture. And I have never had a problem with any of their food ever before. This time, however, in an order of 12 pieces of fried chicken, there were 2 pieces (both thighs) that were undercooked near the bone. I completely understand that "things happen" and that no place is without error, so we will definitely be going back. I just want people to know so if anyone has a child that wouldn't know better, to be watchful for them. Other than that, I had a little moral issue with some young man who refused an old lady a seat by setting in the middle of the bench, when he could well have scooted over and let her set down. That has to do with the are and how people raise their kids nowadays. And it definitely does affect the atmosphere...
