Cute old-fashioned style drive-in with curbside service in the tiny town of Wolf Lake. Fun nostalgic decor covers the outside of the building, from old soda signs, a Texaco original gas pump, Elvis statue, Betty Boop sign to a Zoltan fortune teller machine (like in the "Big" Tom Hanks movie). Lots to look at while sitting on a picnic table, enjoying ice cream or a sandwich. Or stay in your car and the carhop will come to you. I tried a small hot fudge sundae, cost just over $5 with tax. Their "small" is about the size of a DQ large. A little pricey, but since there are no other food options nearby, it didn't seem unreasonable. And it tasted great, simple and satisfying.
For reference, the next closest restaurant/fast food on this stretch of US33 is in Churubusco, roughly 20 miles south, or Ligonier, 15 miles north.
Menu is pretty extensive, with a giant breaded tenderloin, the Willy Whopper, getting top billing. I plan to try that next visit.
