Shoemakers Restaurant — Restaurant in Lincoln

The food is good here. The salad bar is good. Everything is fresh. The restaurant is clean. The tator tots are good and not greasy. I dont like them greasy or salty. The hamburgers are good and fresh and flavorful. I would definitely eat here the next time I run through here. The only objection I have is the parking lot looks like a place you would see in a 3rd world country or the east coast. Trailers dumped in paces, and bob tail trucks parked in places that looks like they have been sitting there for a long time. And what I hate the most are 4 wheel cars parked where a truck can park. I hate that because when we are running out of hours truckers need that parking place. My advice to management would be if asked is to put a notice on dumped Bob tail trucks and MT trailers sitting in parking places to get them out of there so a paying customer truck driver can park his truck because he can't if the place is full and looks more like a 3rd world country then a place where you can park your truck and come in and get a good meal in a clean restaurant. Atmosphere was awesome fuel station attendents were super friendly and polite. But being there my first time ever I will NEVER ear in the restaurant again. I was there at 11pm and I ordered a steak dinner and it was the worst steak I ever ate tasted like it was reheated. Also the waitress wasn't friendly and never asked if I wanted a refill or any steak sauce she was more worried about whatever she was doing in the kitchen.

Then next morning I went into the station to get a soda and snack and the clerk asked how I was and I told her about my experience and she apologized for that and asked me if I wanted a complaint card so I filled it out and she said a manager would call me about it and how the family owned business is ontop of things like this..... NOPE NO CALL. TJEY WILL NEVER SEE MY BUSINESS IN THAT RESTAURANT AGAIN. probably never stop again for anything. Such a shame such beautiful place and have only good service on the gas station .... Restaurant is a waste of my money.

I even waited 2 weeks to see if they would call before I made this...

Ate here with my girlfriend on a Saturday at 1pm, I was looking forward to eating something from the all day breakfast however I was very disappointed to say the least. I got an omelet which was terrible , ditto for my girl. Our waitress must have been high or something because she couldn't even remember what drinks we initially ordered, which were 2 teas for God's sake. So I ordered mine without green onions and of course it came out with green onions. Even the darn hash browns didn't taste right. The waitress did give me the meal for no charge. Even if I would have been charged the food was so bad I would not have paid for it. She also asked me about 3 times if I wanted a to go box, I politely made up an excuse. Then to top it all off when I went to pay for my girl's meal she completely forgot my meal was supposed to be free, and keep in my mind this place was not busy at all. I even gave this lady a $2 tip after all we went through and she couldn't even say thanks. I mean honestly, this may have been the worst experience I've ever had at...
