Place was a recommendation. Service was absolutely terrible. Server didn't introduce herself- never got her name. Took about 15 mins to get 2 sodas after drinks were ordered. When it was time to order food, it was another 10 mins after drinks were brought to the table to actually ordering. Server said she was going to be right back... Food that was ordered was never brought to the table. When the server said she was going to put the order in, food never came. Water came with no ice. Is this typical? Restaurant is in a remodeled home. Upstairs was nice with all windows open. It was a beautiful day. Food that did come to the table wasn't great- no flavor on the onion rings, no flavor in the batter for scallops and clams. Coleslaw tasted like it was pre-made from a store. Prices DO NOT make sense for the little amount of food that came out. I understand it's "fresh seafood" but come on? It's all fried food which is then frozen. We were never offered a drink menu (don't you want to upsell to your guests?). I've worked in several busy restaurants in my life, I understand what short staff and stressful conditions are. However when other servers and the bartender are outpacing our 1 server, it's an issue. Overall, awful experience and we will...

We went here because we were told that the Lobster Roll was very good. So we ordered one Lobster roll and one Haddock Sandwich and a small fry and two cups of clam chowder. Well this meal from start to finsh was a HUGE disappointment. The Lobster roll had mostly nuckle meat in it and very little at that. The Haddock appeared to be frozen fish because of the water content coming from it. The chowder lacked flavor, ingredients and all they did was shuck the clams and put them in the broth. The clams were whole in the chowder and the broth was very watery and bland. I know some places do make there chowder like this but they will tell you and at least put ingredients in the broth to make it taste good. All it tasted like was warm milk. The best part of this meal believe it or not was the fries. The prices were marked much higher than their menu online shows. SO NOT WORTH THE TRIP OR THE MONEY. There are much better places than here just read other places reviews. So I rate this place a 1 ☆ if I could have given them lower...

We took my elderly parents for a foliage "road trip" and stopped into this restaurant for lunch. It was wonderful and we were fortunate enough to have discovered this place on their last day of the season. We will be back next year!

They had a fire in the wood stove, which made the inside dining area very comfortable, even for my mother who gets cold easily. You order your meal at the counter and then take it to your table. It's not full-service, but everything you need is right there at the condiment table, staff was friendly and inviting, and the place was super clean!

Food was great! We're hard to please when it comes to crab rolls. The crab roll was obviously fresh, and loaded with crabmeat in a large roll.

To add to the entertainment, a local couple who apparently eats there often sat next to us and as it turns out, he and my dad were both from Rockland and had many wonderful stories to tell. It was like a much-needed social hour for my 95-year-old Dad!

We will see you again...

We went to McLaughlins in Lincolnville. The atmosphere was nice, rustic. Our waiter was a young man, friendly. Our appetizer was lobster dip, Delicious!!! We each had the clam chowder, sadly it was not to our liking. Guessing, this is the way the locals like it? Too watery and prefer the clams to be cut up. My husband had a whole lobster that came with French fries and coleslaw. I had the blackened haddock tacos. We were pleased with our meal. Our waiter, not so much. He brought our appetizer and soup out at the same time and almost as soon as they were out, out came our meal. He left all the empty plates on the table, not clearing them until we were done. So this wasn't a great experience.

We had a large group and ate outside under the canopy with a gas heater running as the weather was cool and misting. There are also picnic tables outside of the canopy and indoor seating as well. The fried clams were excellent and the surprise corn bread was great! The oysters were big and delicious. The baked haddock was delicious and served in the dish that it was baked in. The view is fantastic! The pleasant staff checked in with us, making sure that the food met our expectations. Great views of the ocean water.
