Stryk's Pit Barbeque — Restaurant in Linden

We were 10mins away driving on a long road trip so I called beforehand cause they closed in an hour. They were so kind and generous and said it would be fine to stop in 40mins before closing. Had it stopped there I would’ve been pleased but it only got better! The space was co clean and beautiful, spacious and great for a family gathering. The menu was clear and full of delicious offerings. I opted for the ribs, potato salad and slaw and my gf the brisket, potato salad and slaw. When I tell you that the meat MELTED in my mouth I’m not exaggerating! The sweet smoke flavor complimented every bite and the seasoning was perfect. Not too salty and you can still taste the meat, my favorite. Can I also comment on the slaw and potato salad?! The slaw was vinegar based and the most delicious ingredients, you have to try for yourself. The potato salad was perfect and cut in the best size. I don’t know if it was a family recipe and secret but please post it and share. My long winded review comes from the fact that I had leftovers and am eating them the next morning on a motel bed, y’all, they taste just as delicious and I’m emotional all over again. Stryk’s Pit BBQ is the kind of place that makes you believe in higher powers—specifically, the BBQ gods. I don’t know what kind of ritual the pit master performs before lighting the smoker, but it must involve prayer, reverence, and maybe even a sacrifice of a lesser brisket, because the flavor that comes out of that pit is nothing short of divine.

Every bite feels like a sermon in smoke—tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and kissed by a holy fire. The brisket melted like butter, the ribs were fall-off-the-bone perfection, and the turkey had that perfect snap with just the right amount of juiciness . And don’t even get me started on the sides—they don’t play backup; they’re part of the main act.

If you’re passing through and skip Stryk’s, you’re not just missing a meal—you’re missing a religious experience. Hats off to the pit master. May the BBQ gods forever...

I got a full rack of ribs and thank God! These ribs are the best ribs I've ever had in my life. Here's why... When I went to pick up the rib the meat fell apart, next after I finally got it the flavor was just right. It was a rub that had the right amount of salty with being overbearing. I did not want to put sauce on this BBQ masterpiece. The soft moist juicy rib meat melted in my mouth. I had to let someone else taste a rib and he said the same thing!
