The Golden Star — Restaurant in Linton

We recently discovered this little gem in Linton. They serve breakfast all day and are normally open till 3pm most days. There are several great combos and all the normal eggs, protein, and carb choices. The corned beef hash should get mention as it's better than most places. Eggs are always cooked right to expectation whether over easy, medium, hard, or other choices. If I had to find something negative, and it is difficult, I'd say the sausage could have a bit more spice and flavor. It's still great and these days with different curing practices and the world requiring everything bland, it would be hard to locate a better type unless home made in my opinion. We found this restaurant this morning. We aren't familiar with this area and we are super happy that we found it. All the food was absolutely delicious and filling. I got french toast and eggs and bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly. My daughter got A cheeseburger and fries and cottage cheese. After we dined in we ordered our dinner to go. We got chicken alfredo and turkey manhattan. It's hard to choose what to eat here because everything looks so good. And our server was super friendly and efficient and kept my coffee cup full. Dining in for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekends only, closes at 3 p.m. during the week. Good Catfish, chicken salad, and pies/cake from a Patisserie in Chicago. "American Fries" are the bomb. Portions are generous. Wish they'd do half sizes on some entrees! Used to have a really good Fried Chicken, then they discontinued it, saying it was too much work! They sold a coupon card in the restaurant but never accepted it, and have some odd restrictions, but overall they're the best game this side of town now that the...
