Kind of went on a whim, did not really have any expectations. My family is a family of 6 people, from age 50 to age 8. So we have every eater from eats anything put in front of them to super picky. Inevitably somebody is not happy. However everybody ate everything at Hungry Bear. There was about two bites left of one sandwich and maybe 10 to 15 fries that came home with us, not because it wasn't good, just full. They were very busy, and seemed a little understaffed, but who isn't these days. With that in mind service seemed ever so slightly slow. But I had plenty of coffee, and the kids and wife didn't seem to run out of Sierra mist. So that wasn't a major problem. The food was good, and portions seemed to be appropriate. A couple of us had appetizers and everybody had dessert none of that was left over or brought home. The bill was under $75 I was very pleased. It was clean and bright, bright is hard to find in a restaurant these days. It is a little small, but I suspect it is just the right size for its location. I don't suspect it will be any time soon, because it is about 40 minutes from my home, but I would love to get out there for breakfast, just...

Nice atmosphere, friendly waitresses and okay food. It's more of a homey place with a homestyle menu. Their online menu is misleading, so make sure to ask what the current special is. They don't offer the all-you-can-eat options as advertised online and the food is underseasoned. I ordered the Papa Burger, medium with an order of fries. The fries were the star on the plate. Crunchy, well cooked, soft middles, these fries were dynamite. The burger was cooked well but everything lacked seasoning. No salt, and everything seemed to have been cooked in the same light, odd-tasting oil. The onions and mushrooms need butter and salt and the burger lacks a sauce. Once I added some table seasonings and some ketchup, it was more palatable. This burger would be magic if a simple sauce was added to it. Might try it again but will be more deliberate with my directions. Maybe next time...

Was driving through town heading back home. Decided to stop and give the place a try. There was a short line, Waitress said the wait would be about 20mins. So she took down our phone number and said they would call when a table was available. We took a small walk to see the area. An hour went by and we didn't hear anything. So the gf went back in just to see about how much longer. The lady had already put away the list. So she opened back up the list and said it should only be 5mins. She confirmed the phone number and we waited in the car. Another 20mins went by. We gave up and headed home. Never received the phone call. Was very annoying we went from a little hungry and excited to try a new place. To a point of being very hungry and just settling for McDonalds to get us home. The first time I could see a honest mistake. The second time around is bad...

Happened upon this place on a random drive with my daughter on Mother’s Day. Local diner type restaurant. Loved the atmosphere and everyone was super nice. Food was great, large portions, great price, and hit the spot! My daughter had the pancakes with side of sausage links and hashbrowns and I had the Papa Bear skillet with sausage links and wheat toast. Britt, our server, was extremely nice, very attentive and helpful, as well as went above and beyond with her service! She not only wished me a very Happy Mother’s Day but also had put a hand written note on my piece of pie we also took with us as we were too full from our lunch. Will be having that later 😁 We will definitely be back! I have got to try their peanut butter pie! 😁

Go in a hungry bear and leave as a stuffed pig! They have THE best baked mac and cheese! My husband and I came upon this great little diner by chance. I'm very glad we tried. Overall, the food and service is excellent! HIGHLY recommend this place. Update Seriously, this place has the best food!!! They also make freshly made handmade pies too. Been there about 4 times now and each time is never a dissappintment!! Tried their roast beef and oh my yes! I really would love to know how they make theirs because it is not your typical roast beef restaurant roast beef entre. Visit #5, tried the hot turkey sandwich and it was delish!! Real turkey, and not the rubbery stuff!

Stopped in for dinner around 6pm. Everything was very clean including bathrooms. I had the Roast beef. It was very tender. Mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. It was all good. I added a slice of banana cream pie. Sooo delicious. My server was Brittany. She was wonder. Pleasant. Tipped her 50%. My cost with ice tea was 19.43. For meal. Very good value.
