Doolin's Pub — Restaurant in Litchfield

I want to start out by saying that this place should be on Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. I have been here multiple times and as much as I would love to like this place, the service is terrible! I keep thinking maybe it'll be different this time. I've always been disappointed and feel I need to share. After sitting at a table for 15 minutes with no one greeting us we decided to go up to the bar to see if service was better there...it wasn't. The bartender (Jessica, I believe her name was) didn't acknowledge us for 15 more mins, she had no personality, she never smiled, and we waited another 15 mins after our drinks before we had to ASK her to take our order. Not to mention that the food takes an hour to get out to you after you order it. Unbelievable! I'm usually a hefty tipper and this is the worst place I have ever been for service and for the first time in my life, I won't be tipping much of anything. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place unless you have hours to spend waiting or know the bartender or waitresses personally as they tend to cater to those...

Went for dinner, waited over 20 minutes at the bar for a beer. Went for brunch on a Sunday, (with a reservation mind you) and waited 45 minutes for a drink, let alone food. Called tonight to place an order to pick up, was left on hold for 45 minutes before I finally hung up. This place is a joke. Sad because we have spent hundreds of dollars since they first opened and supported them faithfully through the pandemic. Service is terrible and management is even worse which is a crying shame because the food is delicious. To the kitchen staff: I’m sorry that the front line people are destroying everything amazing you create by delivering a sub par (no pun intended) experience for your patrons. I know I’m not the only “regular” who has experienced this and I only hope others will stop frequenting Doolin’s in hopes they will smarten up and get some structure in place to ensure a quality customer experience...

I've been to Doolins 4 times since moving to the area. I have been going to participate in Trivia Night with family and friends. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The food is delicious! The beverages... well, great! They offer great activities, and the Tuesday Taco & Trivia Nights are fun. I LOVE that Doolins uses paper/compostable leftover containers instead of plastic or Styrofoam... I prefer and appreciate this from an eating establishment. Kudos Doolins!! Addendum 11/2023: If I could give additional stars, I would. I attended a comedy night at Doolins last winter, and it was fantastic! I plan on attending this season's Wed night comedy nights. We started our 2nd season of Tuesday Tacos & Trivia, and it's a great fun Tues night activity. I've gotten to know the staff a little better, and they are all awesome at what they do, and they do it in a cheerful, friendly...
