I've heard a lot of good things about this place, and I have to say I'm underwhelmed. We bought cracklins only. The seasoning was good and the meat tasted good, but while they were cooking, the chunks of meat stuck together and weren't separated. We ended up with large clumps of meat that we had to separate ourselves. Also, because the meat had fried in clumps, the inside fat hadn't cooked all the way through, and the texture felt like warm, but raw, pork fat. It was nasty. I read the reviews and stopped in about 10 AM. Found a small place with nothing fancy inside but very clean. Ordered a crawfish pie to start with and it was delicious! Finally decided on a cheeseburger combo and was glad I didn’t order the large one because the 1/4lb burger was huge and must be considered a 1/4lb AFTER they cook it. It was dressed with fresh vegetables and was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Cajun fries were great as well.
