This review is an update to a previous version, after a second visit.

Our reservation for 4 was at 6pm. We were seated promptly, and drinks and water were served in short order. Throughout the meal, our server, Mandy, and the manager, John, were attentive and ensured we were well taken care of.

The service was wonderful, and left nothing to be desired. The wine selection was good as usual, and cocktails were made carefully. Aside from some personal preference points on our cocktails, beverage service was outstanding.

The food was improved from our last visit. The last version of this review went into some detail regarding specifics, but as the menu appears to change regularly, I won't beleaguer the reader with an over abundance of details. Suffice it to say that the menu is ambitious, and delivers most of what is expected, and that the chef should be commended for her consistency in execution. I mentioned my specific points to John, and he was quite receptive to my remarks on creative choices and technique. I expect the conversation to continue on subsequent visits.

I would happily recommend The Grill for a night out for any occasion. Their dedication to excellence in service...

It was a very strange experience at The Grill. We came to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant is beautiful and everyone is smiling. They brought us warm, crusty bread with butter, which was delicious. We were given samples of the soup of the day since we were unsure about ordering it. The soup was very onion forward, definitely an acquired taste, but it was thoughtful that they offered samples.

Our server recommended her favorites, the beef tenderloin and the curry cabbage (my husband is vegetarian). We had planned to order other dishes, but we went with “this is phenomenally good” and “this is my absolute favorite.” The meat was cooked properly, but it was very oversalted. Even the unsalted chimichurri and potatoes could not fix it. The cabbage was bitter. Then came dessert, which was basically fat and sugar. No interesting flavor, no joy. I wiped the grease off my lips and refused to eat it.

They gave us a 20 percent discount and removed the dessert from the check, but that was small comfort because I left hungry and disappointed.

Maybe I just got unlucky with the dishes I chose. I would come back for drinks, the place is very pleasant, but I would not...

If you are looking for a restaurant with inflated prices, poor food quality, and horrible service, then this is your kind of place. We had a party of ten, so I can understand some confusion but this place was horrible. Food was consistently served to the wrong person, both appetizers and entrees. After 8 of us were served, the head waiter came out and asked if there was anything else we needed. We pointed out that 2 of our party had not been served yet. Another server brought one more entree a few minutes later. However, the final member of our party was not served until more than 15 minutes after the first of us had been served, and then his steak was under cooked (another member of our party’s steak was significantly overcooked). All of this was made known to our head server, but no offer was made to comp either of these entrees! While the restaurant has a beautiful setting, if you go there, I suggest going to their separate bar and have one of their overpriced drinks, go outside and...
