Iāve given Wired Coffee a try on five separate occasions. And Iāve come to the conclusion that the staff is either hard of hearing, or? They just donāt care. Monday through Friday I make my own Breve at home before a two hour commute. I have only EVER visited this coffee shop on the weekends until today.
From the FALL Menu
⢠My 1st order: Medium Apple Carmel BREVE 1/2 sweet. -What I received? Medium Apple Carmel BREVE ~ Full sweet (it tasted like syrup)
⢠My 2nd order: Medium Apple Carmel BREVE 1/3 sweet (just in case we had a slight difference of opinion on what ā1/2 sweetā was on my previous order). -What I received? Medium Apple Carmel Latte -Full sweet (it tasted like syrup and 2% milk instead of half n half was used to make it.)
After two disappointing visits, I didnāt return until after Christmas.
⢠My 3rd order: Medium Marsh Mallow BREVE. I ordered the drink without any changes in sweetness to know for SURE what their version of a fully-sweet coffee is. What I received? Medium Marsh Mallow LATTE ~ (I went home made a full breve and cut Wired Coffeeās drink in half and used the leftovers the next morning in a breve I made myself) ⢠My 4th order: Medium Marsh Mallow BREVE 1/2 sweet (this is not a difficult drink). What I received? (AGAIN) Medium Marsh Mallow Breve (at least it was a BREVE this time) FULLLLLL SWEEEETTTT!!! Iām flabbergasted at this point, but I keep thinking perhaps Iām just not communicating clearly
Today. A week day, I stop by at 3:20pm (they close at 3:30pm).
⢠My 5th -and final- order (and not for the reason you think). 1 Medium Marsh Mallow BREVE 1/3 sweet and 1 Medium Marsh Mallow BREVE 1/2 sweet for my tween girls to share. What I received? Medium Marsh Mallow Breve Full Sweet.
The time is 3:28pm. I park and walk inside to order a straight breve (no sweetener) so I could mix the full sweet coffee I had just received, with a non-sweet coffee, so I could actually drink it.
When I briefly explained WHY I needed to order a regular unsweetened breve and noted how many times I have received an overtly sweet drink after ordering less sweet -on five separate occasions- the woman I was speaking to turned to the SAME BARISTA who had JUST MADE my drink incorrectly to ask if he would make one more breve before close, he shook his head no because āhe had already rinsed the filterā. rolling my eyes
So⦠not only do they fail to make coffee to order, but when they are made aware of the chronic historical failure and are offered the opportunity to fix it (not by remaking the drink, but by the wronged customer asking to purchase ANOTHER coffee to correct THEIR mistake), they say ānoā and āsorryā replete with a pained, disingenuous facial expression. Either way they get their money and I guess that is all Wired Coffee staff really care about.
I will not return for a 6th visit only to spend hard earned money on a āsplurgeā to be ignored, dissatisfied and disregarded.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWired coffee is just as my photo says, āmy happy place.ā The coffee is the absolute best! I recommend the iced mellow mallow for first timers, but ask any of the awesome baristas about any of the drinks and they will steer you in the right direction based on what you like. My personal favorite is the large iced tuxedo add strawberry and an extra shot (it sounds strange but trust me!) The coffee shop itself is so cute and inviting youāll wish youād brought a book to stay a while and drink your coffee (which if you have a day I definitely recommend!) Iām newer to Livingston but Wired is one of the many places that makes me feel welcome. I love talking with the staff and trying their seasonal drinks. Even if Iām rolling through the drive through everyone is so nice and Iām telling yall no other shop holds a candle to their iced coffee! Also their loft is the coziest most comfortable space to sit and read, listen to a podcast or music on your head phones, study, or just relax and listen to whatever theyāre playing in the shop. Their chicken salad sandwiches and little lunch boxes (chicken salad, wheat thins, grapes, and cheese) are amazing. Iām obsessed with the chicken salad sandwiches! You canāt go wrong with anything you get from here, they have something for everyoneā¦Just trust me and go to Wired coffee yāall š¤ā¦.also, if you read Gregās one star review just keep scrolling, Greg likes to leave one star reviews it appears. He also failed to mention that āthe guy in the backā was busy. Wired coffee stays hoppin yall and these workers are busting there butts to crank out that amazing coffee. Some folks should practice patience. Itās ok Greg, more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally I would give them a 5 Star however today the way the owner handled the situation was wrong!! If an employee messes up the order and doesnāt make your coffee right then good customer service is to remake it properly. However, when I spoke with the owner Rebecca Key, she said to fix the order I would have to be charged again for new ones. This is the whole story: My 19yr old daughter went through the drive thru at Wired, ordered 3 Frappes (mocha, tux w/ extra shot, & 1/2vanilla 1/2 carmel) the mocha and the tux came out the window as iced, my daughter explained they were to be frozen and the young lady at the window said they no longer make those drinks frozen (however Saturday we got them frozen). So my daughter insisted that we have gotten them frozen the other day and still was told they didnāt do it any longer. So my daughter brings the drinks home and tells me the situation, I call and speak with the owner who apologizes for her employees misunderstanding of the different types of drinks, so I processed to ask if we could bring them back to be fixed and was told that I would have to pay for new ones. That they would not be able to fix their mistakes without charging me for it.!! So not only was I stuck with a coffe that didnāt taste as good but would have had to pay double just for them to get it right. Truly disappointed in the way things were handled so please beware if they mess up your coffee your stuck with unwanted coffee unless you pay double. Will be contacting...
