I work at a corporation right around the bock from Tony's. We've had their food catered in countless times. The sub's are pretty decent, they have killer pasta salad, they're pizza isn't the best, but over all its tolerable. However, my rating isn't solely based on their food, but their service as well.As I stated, I work for a place that has ordered $1K's worth of food, I told them this when I called in my order this evening. It's raining out, I don't want to leave work. I'm told that they aren't delivering due to the weather. This is absolutely appalling to me. I've delivered pizza in my previous life for years, NEVER did I turn a customer away over some rain. That's where drivers make their money. I will never order from them again. I called Valentino's a quarter mile away from them, my food was here 20 minutes later. Goodbye Tony B's, your loss is another's gain.
Update 2 years later. I decided to give delivery a try again. They have great Thai food. Co-workers order take out all the time. Today, we decided to order delivery because several of us missed our lunch. Today they did deliver, however the guy on the phone gave us a hard time about it. We ordered $40 worth of food, and were told "Really? That's all you're ordering? Today is our busiest day of the year and we're making this run for you?"
The offensive customer service has detoured me from ever considering this...
Read moreI ordered catering and was specific with Tony, the owner, about what I needed. He upsold me to a party sub, which offered the 24 subs (party sub) I was clear about needing. The customer service from the start was awful with Tony and I should have gone with my gut and cancelled the order. When I called to address the mistake and see what could be done, I was told I was wrong and I was hollered at and talked over. I was told that I was insulting his homemade subs, with homemade lettuce, tomato, etc. Then I was hung up on. When I called back, to see how we could rectify this because the order is wrong, a lady answered the phone, wouldn't let me talk at all and was about to hang up on me. The entire time Tony the owner was in the background using profanity and the “f” word, saying “he didn’t need the negativity and he’s been in business for forty years - f that!” Without people like me, his business would fail. A simple “I’m sorry” could have gone a long way, but instead I was told I was wrong and I was cussed at. The food is good - over priced, but was worth it because it’s helping local. Based on the AWFUL customer service, I’d highly recommend helping another local sub shop. Tony needs to retire if that’s how he’s going to treat people! The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever had anywhere in all my 40+ years...
Read moreI called 3 times, and each and every time they hung up on me, the 3rd time they finally took my order said it would take 20 minutes. OK, 20 minutes for some sandwiches sounds a little bit suspicious, but OK. You can't actually go inside of the restaurant it is a walk-up window. I had to wait outside the window for 10-15 minutes before anyone came out and saw me finally even after I said hello hello multiple times. They said it was $21. But charged 24$ on my card. So, thanks for stealing 3$? Also $24 for 2 8" subs is absolutely ridiculous!! The food was absolutely mediocre, and you can tell everything was bought precooked and then just placed on the sandwich. Super mediocre food. Lettuce was old. Tasted super greasy and cheap. And the kicker is it gave me and my husband food poisoning. My husband hasn't had food poisoning in 5 years...... So whatever they're making in there, it's really bad. When I was looking in the window you can tell that the place was really falling apart. Old boxes everywhere, dirt all over the counter along with old food particles. Was honestly really really gross. If you have a sensitive stomach I don't recommend going here. Honestly, there are probably some health hazards going on in the back. I hope this place either gets itself together or shuts down for the greater good of...
