Kajun Twist & Grill — Restaurant in Lockport

Has anyone ever asked you, "what's the best place you've eaten beside your mom's house?" Well, I'm here to answer that question. It's the Kajun Twist. Why? Because your mom probably learned how to cook from the family who brought you The Kajun Twist. You probably don't need another reason as to why The Twist is the best place on the bayou to eat, but here's one anyway: You will not leave that place hungry. They feed you the same amount of food your grandma would after helping her clean her flowerbed. I can't even begin to imagine how many takeout boxes they go through on a daily basis. I usually have enough food to last through a tropical storm with what I take home after eating there. Oh, don't like being around people? NO PROBLEMO! They have a drive through. And... I didn't even mention the bar area. Tis very nice. Very nice. Long story short, no matter where you're from, you need to make sure to stop in at The Twist. Great people. Great food....

For $26 I had higher expectation’s especially visiting Louisiana they are known for blackened seafood. I ordered grilled blackened fish and shrimp and this is what they brought me it was gross and definitely was not blackened or grilled sauce was nasty I don’t even know what it was to be honest, these good reviews must be fake because the food is nasty. My plate didn’t even make sense toast, mash potatoes, frozen baby shrimp and catfish? nothing home made about it the waitress claimed. Mashed potatoes we’re definitely instant. I had free reign to the bar area alone, watched TV 📺 on the channels I wanted, had a beautiful black haired waitress with glasses with a very nice sweet chatty disposition, was very attentive to my needs and wants, took my custom order well without me needing to repeat it, had a wonderful giant open face roast beef 🥩 sandwich on French bread that was phenomenal along with some chili cheese fries 🍟 that were killer that I just didn't need to add on. My pup 🐶 loved them too.

Was a quiet place to simply enjoy a great poboy for an early supper! I'm sure they pep up during busier hours...
