Not the same. Used to like ordering from Fuego 3 years ago but something has changed. The quesa birria tacos no longer taste like they used to. They're also not made as well....not enough cheese because all 3 of my tacos fell apart. Worst part was the service. I ordered 15 minutes ahead of time. I arrive and the guy taking the orders says "2 more minutes." Then the weirdness starts. There are 2 ladies cooking, and he points to the 4 tickets of orders. He takes over and is now cooking, and they now stand there and watch him. I see him unwrap a burrito that was already made, then dump all of the contents back onto the flat top. Not sure why, or who's order that is. 10 minutes later my order is still not ready. One of the ladies that was cooking is now giving out orders. She calls out a burrito for the lady who arrived before me, so naturally I figure my order is next. The guy finishes cooking and order, and boxes it up. Logically, I'm thinking that's my order, but they just put the box in a bag and put it off to the side. Another order is completed, and they call out the name of the person and give them their order. It's cold, and because he told me "2 minutes" I didn't want to go back to the car to wait since I figured I was next. I stand out in the cold, and ended up waiting way longer than expected. My order sits there for another 5 minutes, and the guy that was cooking now jumps back to handing out food, and calls my name. Just a complete mess. I eat my food, and its just ok. I won't need to come back, as there are better...

I had the pleasure of working with Jesus and the Fuego Taqueria team as they catered my client's wedding in Walnut Grove. I came out with my clients to sample their cuisine and was very impressed with all their offerings. I'm a vegetarian and veggie options at taco trucks can be hit or miss sometimes - their veggie burrito was exceptional.

From the very beginning, Jesus was responsive and eager to make the wedding successful. I believe this was their first wedding that they catered and while some logistical lessons were learned, the quality of the food and the service was impeccable. Jesus offered a wide range of proteins and sides for the couple to order, and he made sure there was enough to suit the guest count.

On wedding day, the weather turned and the Fuego team was working in the rain and cold, but they brought tents out and still made magic happen. Jesus made absolutely certain that there was enough food to accommodate all 150 guests and all the vendors as well. Since they were cooking each person's food to order, the line did slow down a fair bit, but I think with a more limited menu this issue would easily be resolved. They even brought extra horchata for the bar to make signature cocktails!

Jesus and his team went over and above to make the food at this wedding a smashing success, and I would work with them again in...

Been wanting to try this place after seeing ads all throughout imstagram. I decided to get tacos and the breakfast torta as that's what I been wanting to try.

First the tacos: Pretty good. I just fot two asada tacos with hot sauce. The meat was very well cooked and good and the taco was quite filling. The hot sauce was not very hot but overall the tacos were excellent.

Next the torta: I got a break torta with bacon and sausage and hot sauce as well. The sauce was on the side so you can per your taste. Really brings out the flavor of the torta. However, I'm a bit disappointed as the egg is advertised to be scrambled but it's more like a fried egg with the yoke runny which I personally don't like. Not the end of the world, but I would prefer if the torta bread was toasted a bit as well, which would have been a nice touch. Still, the meat was pretty good.

Overall, this place is ok. Definitely one of the better "fancy" taco trucks out there (I don't trust the fancy looking trucks). Based off the torta, I gave it a lower rating. But I'm pretty sure the burrito and rest of the menu items are pretty good. I would try it again and re asses my rating at a...

I've only had their Quesabirria Tacos with consome, and their Asada and Pastor Street Tacos. I gave them 4 stars for the food because I'm comparing them to Tacos El Patron in Pleasant Hill, Maya Traditional Mexican Cuisne in Sacramento and El Garage in Richmond - these are some of the best places for Tacos unfortunately El Fuego can't compare. As far as Taco Trucks go this place is pretty good for the area. You can taste the Pineapple in the Pastor, the citrus from the marinade in the Asada. The birria was a little dry and you really had to dunk it in the consome. The dishes came with grilled JalapeƱos and onions, Pickled carrots that were fresh, and radish medallions. Their salsa tasted fresh and had just the right amount of heat. I can tell everything was fresh and made to order. El Fuego does not do Carnitas which is a shame. Guadalajara Taco truck in front of Fruitvale Station in Oakland does the best carnitas. Also try doing a Birria Ramen like Tamarindo Taco truck in Oakland, their line is around the block for that dish.

There is nothing worse than being unimpressed by a place that has potential!!!! The side of the truck says "Veteran Owned" Unfortunately, today my order was filled by rookies. My torta- just look at it! Thin layer of meat, and where is the cheese crust???? All I had was Hella lettuce and a dry bread! Disappointing. Again, the menu says cheese crust on a torta!!!!

This is a food truck and I was expecting a sit down restaurant. It's not but there is a picnic bench to sit at. The food came out fast and the staff was very friendly. The portions were generous but it was a little more expensive than I was hoping for with a food truck. Overall we left happy and full so no complaints here!
