12-16-22 gave them a chance to redeem, and it was fabulous! Don't go when BUSY!

Very good food!!! Delicious alligator eggs!!!

Update...we bragged to my parents about how good it was so we all went to eat there today (9-10-22). The were EXTREMELY busy for a 1:00 on a Saturday, but there were a couple of tables available. The waitresses were actually running back to the kitchen. Our waitress came by after about 10 minutes (she was forgiven because they were busy.) and took our drink order. About 15 minutes later we got menus. I don't remember how much longer it took for her to come back to take our order. Once that was done, we watched tray after tray taken to other customers. Around 2:30 we finally got our lukewarm food. Right before we got up to leave, another waitress walked by spilling some kind of red sauce on my dad. When my husband went to pay and told them what happened, our waitress asked "What do you want me to do about it?" My husband handed her the bill and our debit card and said he knew they would make it right. I can say that our meal was free, and for lukewarm food, it was good. It just wasn't a...

My mother and I decided to venture out one evening to Logansport to try one of their local restaurants we had read about online. The restaurant we had initially chosen was closed, and we later found out it was under new management and making changes. There was another restaurant in our sights, so we headed over there to Big Zach's Place, where we found a delightful atmosphere, wonderful menu choices, a friendly owner and staff, and diners who were "regulars" and very well-versed on all the great food choices. We were guided to choose the Fettuccine with Pontchartrain sauce, a great Cajun alternative to Alfredo sauce, which is always my mother's first choice, and she absolutely loved this one! I had a taste of hers, and I was in total agreement! You rarely find a restaurant that serves homemade fries. Theirs are delish! So are the sweet potato fries, by the way! The seafood is also on point! We will definitely make the drive to Big Zach's Place again and try their other menu options. You...

I’ve been to Big Zach’ twice. Both times the food was phenomenal!!! The atmosphere was very laid back and relaxing. And everything was wonderful, except the service. The first time I went was a Saturday night and extremely busy. So there was an understandable wait. But I went again last night and the service was awful. There were only 4 tables including us there. We were seated by a young man who introduced the young lady who would be assisting him. We didn’t see the young man again till he gave us our bill. The lady brought our food, I requested catchup for my granddaughter, and she disappeared never to return again. I finally had to go to the bar to get some myself. So if you have time I definitely recommend stopping in because the food is sensational. Just be prepared to wait because the service is definitely lacking. And I’d have to say that’s the first time I’ve...

My dad lives in Joaquin, TX and we've been meaning to try this place for a while now. It did not disappoint at all. I ordered the fried pickles for an appetizer and it came with homemade ranch for dipping. This was extremely tasty and delicious and with the ranch it just set it over the top (huge pickle lover). My daughter ordered the chicken stripe and fries. It was seasoned great and were fresh from the fryer and homemade. So delicious. I had the crawfish eutoufee with rice. It was seasoned to perfection the right amount of spiciness. Its one of the best I've had. Would definitely eat here again.

The establishment was clean and tranquil. While the service was excellent, the seafood boil, priced at $44.99, did not meet expectations; it arrived without crab legs. Although the server was accommodating and apologetic, rectifying the situation by providing the missing crab legs in a separate bowl lacking sauce and seasoning, the dish ultimately fell short of a complete seafood boil experience. We may revisit the establishment in the future, given the exceptional service, but not in the immediate term.

Stopped by heading home from a College visit from NSU in Natchitoches LA for my son and was blown away with service and food. My son was skeptical to try the Alligator Eggs but after convincing him to try them he LOVED them. My Blackened Catfish with Crab cakes was best I've had to date. I would travel those 2 1/2 hours any day just to eat there in Logansport. I reside in East Texas
