A Frustrating Experience: Incorrect Order and Unreasonable Request
I cannot express how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am with the recent experience we had with this pizza place. We ordered 3 pizzas, wings and fries. When the delivery driver arrived, he brought the wrong order – a cheesesteak instead of one of our pizzas.
To add insult to injury, the poor delivery driver was told by the owner to suggest that we return the cheesesteak they mistakenly delivered before they would correct their own mistake. This is not just ridiculous; it's beyond comprehension. Why on earth would we need to return food that had been in our house, opened, and handled, all because of their error?
Requiring the delivery person to return to the house, knock on the door, and ask for the mistakenly delivered sandwich is absolutely unjust and inappropriate.
The lack of responsibility and customer service demonstrated by this pizza place is appalling. Instead of rectifying their mistake promptly and professionally, they burdened us with the inconvenience of dealing with their errors. It's astounding that they expected us to return the incorrect food, as if it could be magically transformed back into an untouched, saleable item. Beware if you ordered the Landenburger cheesesteak on 10/7 around 6pm, it’s been to my house and I touched it.
This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, pun intended. It's a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and a prime example of how not to handle mistakes in the food service industry. I strongly advise anyone considering ordering from this establishment to think twice. Customer service and accountability should be paramount in any business, and this place clearly lacks both.

Read moreI’ve known the owner of 896 Pie for a number of years & have never been disappointed by the food at his establishment. The only thing that gets on my nerves is every Tuesday I think about going there, they’re closed. But even geniuses need a break.
I usually get a slice or two but I got over there late today. I got a slice & a portion of the Italian Panini. I normally don’t get paninis but it was calling me today. It was amazing. Simple yet complicated. It was exactly what I needed & I didn’t even know it. Quite possibly the best panini I’ve ever had. I didn’t think to take a picture of it because I had planned on ordering something entirely different upon entry.
It’s nice to be surprised & I usually only have a semi-plan when I go to 896 Pie. I’m glad they’re there to point me in a delicious direction. The owner & staff are super friendly and approachable. Definitely that small town feel even though they cater to multiple communities. I can’t say enough about their originality or their traditional creations. Stop in for yourself or get something to go. Read moreI don’t ever write reviews but felt the need to after today’s experience. I was working down the road today pouring concrete and was in the mood for a good Italian sun. I went in during lunch and ordered and the 2 guys working were nice but busy. I got my sub and left. I get back to my job site and didn’t eat right away. About 30 min later I go to eat my sub and it’s a ham and cheese. I called the restaurant to let them know. The gentleman that answered apologized, insisted he make me my original order , offered to make it immediately and bring it to me at my job site down the road. I honestly didn’t expect him to do this. After a short time from what I now know as the owner (who was the guy I spoke with on phone) personally brings me my corrected sub to the job site, while I was finishing concrete because I was unable to leave. There is more to the story but that is FIRST CLASS customer service. I wish more business operated and cared about there customers like that.
